John Petersons asked:
Resveratrol is a naturally occurring chemical found in meager quantities in grapes, nuts, and wine. When this chemical is taken in concentrated forms, a lot of health benefits can be obtained. Today, you can find a number of supplements containing resveratrol as the major ingredient. You can find them as pills, tablets, and drinks in various flavors.
When substantial quantities of resveratrol are taken, studies show that lifespan can be increased because the chemical results in elimination of heart disease, stoke risk and free radicals. Brain degeneration is stopped and it removes carcinogens that result in various diseases. Metabolic rate can be improved to a great extent by taking suitable supplement with resveratrol. Antioxidant levels are high in these supplements and they can increase the levels of good cholesterol. You will feel naturally energetic by taking these supplements.
Since resveratrol is not available naturally in plenty, you have to take the supplements with natural extracts to get the benefits that nature has given to you. Many products are manufactured for some specific purpose. You can find resveratrol products for weight loss, anti-aging, cellulite reduction, fat loss and so on. You must choose a product that satisfies your own needs.
When you are choosing a supplement, you should employ caution to select the right manufacturer. Some of the products may be expensive because it costs money to get 100% natural extracts. Before deciding on the product you want to try, read as many reviews as possible so that you always settle down for a better one.
Pure Resveratrol Ultra is originally found in several plants when they are attacked by pathogens. The weak toxic action of the chemical induces the immune system to improve overall energy thereby resulting in extended lifespan.

Lee M Chan asked:
If you would ask me, this is the query that comes into the minds of many millions once they start developing feelings for resveratrol supplements. It is basic human nature, we require the very best, and hence we seek the ways with which the very best will land safely in our hands. Allow me to state something at this point – it makes sense to study about the chemical, its advantages and disadvantages before jumping ships and opting for these supplements. Unless you have a thorough knowledge about the paradigm, you will be cheated while purchasing nutritional supplements.
Resveratrol capsules contain resveratrol combined with a soluble base. The percentage of the soluble base will be higher in comparison to the resveratrol. This alkaloid must be consumed at a predetermined dosage level, everyday. Failure to adhere with this dosage level will never produce any feasible results. Over indulging yourselves with the same will also produce detrimental effects. In other words, you will need to have a good idea about the required dosage level. Else, you will never be able to attain anything beneficial – you will be wasting time and energy.
Once you are aware of the appropriate dosage levels, it is time to seek the best “sources”. Bear in mind that the procedure is not an easy one. Spending countless hours looking at websites that specialize in selling of resveratrol based supplements will not yield anything. The paradigm or the bottom line is to act smarter instead of acting harder! Look out for health supplement discussion forums. Plenty of them are in existence on this date. Merely searching for them using web-search engines will list the reputed discussion forums. Skim through the sections, sometimes you may have to register with the website to see all the sections.
The reputed members might have dedicated their lives to guide other people – they will aid you in finding the best sources and purchasing them at feasible rates. The same product might be available for higher rates – look out for the difference in the pricing of these supplements. Once you come across a website (of your liking), it is better to check out the testimonials’ section and the payment gateways employed by the website owner. A quick look into the various sections might reveal the niche of products available with the retailer. Purchasing through the internet is considered a fun filled activity, but risky at the same time.
Plenty of spurious resveratrol supplements are in existence. These products actually outweigh the genuine products, this will make the best products virtually harder to be found. Invest on the best quality resveratrol so that the effects of the same can be realized within weeks. The niche is a delicate one – do not expect overnight miracles. Let the alkaloid combine with the bloodstream and nourish the body cells. The circulation levels will be augmented within months, and you will be able to experience the advantages within days of initiating the product consumption.

Ryan English asked:
If you were to record the number of enzymatic and hormonal processes that take place in the human body per second, the fastest computer in the world may black out. There are many processes that run concurrently and may from time to time produce conflicting products. The harmful processes can be stopped by the use of resveratrol antioxidants.
If you have been to a chemistry class then you may remember the classes of chemical reactions. Most reactions are either reductions or oxidations. Reduction reactions are those that make a molecule less reactive because it increases the number of bonded hydrogen molecules. Oxidation reactions, which are the most common ones, will make a molecule more stable by either donating an oxygen atom or liberating a bonded electron of hydrogen.
In the body, you do not need oxidants because they go about destabilizing the carbon structure of cell membranes and lead to cell death. You therefore need antioxidants that are able to reduce the effects of the oxidants. Some of the most common oxidants include the free radicals. These are free moving electrons that are generated by the metabolic reactions. They include the unbounded electrons generated from krebs cycle and glycolysis. If in large amounts, they would lead to illnesses such as diabetes, stroke, stomach ulcers and high blood pressures. The free radical also contributes to the poor functioning of the blood capillaries and therefore leads to poor circulation of oxygen and food substrates.
These are processes are so essential for life that you cannot stop them in attempt to reduce the free radicals. Instead, the body needs the free electrons sink. These are what are known as antioxidants.
Traditionally, Vitamin C and Vitamin E have been known as the antioxidants. This is why in disease management; the uptake of fruits rich in Vitamin C such as oranges or generally the green pigmented vegetables is encouraged. Vitamin E can be obtained from fruits and vegetables that are reach in Lycopen, a long chain unsaturated fatty acid structure. It is common in tomatoes and other red pigment plant products. Other antioxidants include astaxanthin, acai berry and alpha lipoic acid.
Today, resveratrol has been identified as one of the most effective antioxidant. Its potential was realized from studies that linked the French red wine dining habit to the paradox of not suffering from diseases normally expected of a high fat diet. Further studies involving the mice and other laboratory animals has shown that the resveratrol can reduce the risk of developing cancer among regular users.
As an antioxidant, it can be obtained from the grape fruit seeds, the grape fruit skin or the red wine. It can also be combined with other antioxidants for an augmented effect.

John Mcgregor asked:
Health experts are always coming up with different ways to make you lose weight. A variety of weight loss products like cream, pills, supplements and even surgery are some methods to help us shed off those pounds. Now, scientists are focusing on a more organic approach and one of those newly discovered weight loss compound is resveratrol.
Resveratrol is a plant compound usually found in wines. Other sources of this are Japanese knotweed, peanuts and berries to name a few. This compound is known to prevent cancer and aging due to its antioxidant effects. Further studies showed resveratrol can effectively make you lose weight given the right circumstances.
Diabetes Milletus is also a dominant health issue lately. The rise of individuals developing diabetes is due to overeating and stagnant lifestyle. Resveratrol is proven to make you lose weight effectively by countering insulin resistance and development of diabetes itself.
To do this, you’ll need a workout plan fit for your needs. You can eat five to six small meals per day to minimize your cravings for heavier meals later. As for the workout, you can start by doing aerobic and strength training. You can do aerobics for thirty minutes and work on the weights for 3 to 4 days per week.
Since resveratrol can increase metabolism, you’re actually doing yourself a favor and speed up the process. Not only will you lose weight, you’re increasing your muscle mass through these workouts.
Red wines are considered to be the best source of resveratrol. Rich with flavonoids, red wines have a high quality of this substance. However, wines are alcoholic drinks and should only be taken in moderation. Many health practitioners would recommend resveratrol pills and supplements as alternative for red wine.
Other health benefits such as anti-aging and cancer prevention are some you can fully enjoy if you take resveratrol supplements. Not only that, resveratrol can decrease bad cholesterol in your body and strengthen your immune system.
There are various forms of resveratrol supplements available in the market. The most effective route for this is through oral absorption. This will reap you more benefits that those absorbed through the stomach. You can take this supplement with your vitamin once a day.
However, keep in mind that resveratrol supplements alone will not make you lose weight. You also have to change some lifestyle factors. Bad eating habits can lead to obesity and other health problems. So, you need to incorporate regular exercise and healthy diet in order to fully enjoy the benefits of resveratrol.

Elizabeth Lauderback asked:
Are you wondering where you can order free Resveratrol supplements? You may have heard about the many benefits to taking it, including its weight loss and anti-aging properties. Luckily, it is not too hard to find free Resveratrol supplements on the internet. However, some of the offers are scams out to deceive you. So how can you know which ones to trust?
First of all, let’s talk about what Resveratrol actually is! It is an extremely potent antioxidant that can be found in red grapes and red wine. There has been a tremendous amount of buzz about it over the past couple years, and its popularity as a diet and nutritional supplement has been growing steadily. It has been featured several times on Oprah and 60 Minutes, which has allowed it to stir curiosity among a wide range of people.
It has been shown to not only have a positive impact on heart health, cholesterol levels, and blood sugar, but also contain anti-carcinogenic properties. It is also well documented to be an effective weight loss supplement. But it’s probably most well known for its anti-aging, life-extending properties.
Resveratrol has been proven to increase energy levels and endurance while significantly extending the lifespan of mice during research studies. Basically, it gave the same effect as proper diet and exercise in mice who didn’t eat well OR exercise at all.
Many people also claim that taking the antioxidant regularly drastically improves the elasticity and firmness of the skin. Thus, Resveratrol has been frequently marketed as a potent anti-aging solution.
You can find free Resveratrol thirty-day trials all over the internet. But some of the supplements do not contain a very concentrated amount of the antioxidant and therefore do not work very effectively. Resveratrol is unregulated by the FDA, so companies can pretty much put anything in the supplement and call it Resveratrol.

Mark M Morris asked:
Resveratrol has become a household name today and the stir around its anti-aging and longevity increasing potentials really IS immense. But is resveratrol really deserving the praise that it has been garnering or is it yet another hoax to hit the health supplements niche? Let’s find out:
1. What Is Resveratrol And Why Is It Praised So Much?
The search for life elixirs has been pertinent since centuries but it is very rarely that the human race has come across an all-natural, side-effects free youth boosting formula that really does work towards adding to one’s quality and quantity of life rather than merely warding off flu and cold! Resveratrol came as a worthy culmination for that much-awaited search for a wonder life boosting remedy. The component is found abundantly in nature in vines, grape skin, Japanese knotweed, peanuts and other plant sources. The polyphenol wards off disease causing bacteria, viruses and other pathogens that could harm the respective plant and works to the same effect for humans. The French paradox gives ample proof to the speculation by bringing to light, the visibly superior heart health, ageing countering mechanisms and fat loss receptors in the red-wine drinking French population.
2. What Makes Rife The Negative Speculations Then?
A thinking soul could very well question post reading the above as to where does the negative opinion on resveratrol stem from when the food is so fraught with health positives?
Well, the answer to that is pretty simple- any successful (and worthy) product does get to face some flak from the self-justified critics. I call them “justified” because they are really not out to mislead you. They could really have had horrible experiences off resveratrol due to incorrect supplements usage. Or worse still, they could not have had got a pure and genuine product in the first place. The probability of the latter situation is high because of a considerable number of fraudulent marketers present out there in the market to dupe naïve and innocent buyers. After all, the prospect of enjoying health revitalization and getting to be several years younger than your age is so alluring that one tends to get carried away by all that comes in the way.
3. It Is Possible To Escape Ill-Experiences
Do not let those scammers intending to relish on your hard earned money get through that easily though. Make sure you research the sources for buying resveratrol supplements and make a cautious and informed choice. Or even better, you could try a free supply offer and see if a product and the manufacturer are genuine enough.
Resveratrol is the apt supplement choice if you are looking for a revitalized existence. Please do not let any misconceptions or fraudulent traps to thwart you from partaking in this elixir’s benefits.

Monica C. asked:
Resveratrol is arguably the most popular health supplement at the start of the 21st century. Its health benefits are simply awesome to say the least. It is not surprising that market demand among health buffs everywhere are increasing. The online health community is replete with websites offering information.
Resveratrol producers, while reassuring the public that supply will meet demand, can provide extra help to many health novice who want to get hold of the wonder drug with least confusion and inconvenience. Along with such product diversity and popularity, you get some problems that can be a real pain for consumers just wanted to benefit from the new darling among heath buffs. Here are some:
• Health websites abound with overpriced Resveratrol supplements. Be cautious and start comparing online prices for the same products. Unfortunately, this can be more difficult with health supplements because they can have different formulation and packaging. Check out the supplement’s Resveratrol percentage content and use that as the basis of your comparative shopping online.
• The supplement offered can have efficacy issue because the Resveratrol content is very minimal or totally bogus. This can be the risk when seeing products that are quite cheap compared with many others online. Note that you need about 400mg to 600mg of Resveratrol per day to get its benefits. So do add up the pills you take, typically 3 times day, to yield the levels in this range.
There are currently no supply problems. With the numerous online Resveratrol supplements out there, but the best thing to do is to keep yourself informed and get yourself an in-depth guide to buying Resveratrol supplement products.
There are a lot of informed articles on this wonder drug and a very capable consumer guide to help novice health buffs obtain the wonder drug that will suit their budget.

Alyssa Scuderria asked:
It seems that just about everywhere you go people are talking about the health benefits and anti-aging promises offered by resveratrol supplements. Although clinical testing on human beings has just started recently, laboratory studies on mice by the National Institute of Aging, a part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health, have already indicated that resveratrol slows age-related deterioration and increases longevity.
So it is no wonder that everyone is so excited about this high powered anti-oxidant. In case you’re not familiar with resveratrol, it’s a compound that’s found naturally in foods like grapes and nuts.
You may recall the excitement the television show 60 Minutes caused in 1991 when they talked about what they called the “French Paradox”. It had to do with the fact that even though French people eat a lot more fatty foods, such as cheese, fat from animal sources, and pork, than Americans, they are in better overall shape.
They also have half the number of heart attacks that people who live in the United States have. The show surmised that this was because the French drink a lot of red wine.
Well, guess what? Resveratrol is one of the components of red wine. Go figure.
Depending on where it comes from, a glass of red wine has roughly one to six milligrams of resveratrol. So, in order to get the results that the laboratory experiments promise, you might have to drink hundreds of glasses of red wine a day. And that’s exactly why resveratrol supplements started flying off the shelf. Most resveratrol capsules or pills each contain between fifty and three-hundred fifty mg of resveratrol.
Depending on where you buy your resveratrol, a month’s supply will cost you approximately fifty to one hundred dollars. And although it looks very promising, since it hasn’t actually been proven to work on humans, that’s a pretty good chunk of money to throw away on an experiment.
Luckily, there are free trial offers of resveratrol available on the internet. The problem is that although not every company is shady, there are a number of unscrupulous companies out there. The trial offers that some companies promote seem almost impossible to cancel. People who have tried ended up paying for one or two months of deliveries.
That’s why, if you want to try resveratrol and see if it makes a big difference in your life, you might want to get a free trial offer from a company that makes it very easy to cancel if their resveratrol does not live up to your expectations.
Essentially you will want to find only high quality products that are offered by companies that allow you to cancel your free trial by either emailing them or calling them on their toll-free number. It can take a bit of time to track down these companies, but if you’re like most people you probably agree that it’s definitely worth the effort.

Harry J. Andersohn asked:
Like everyone else who pays attention to the latest developments in health and longevity, I became more than a little bit intrigued when I saw the 60 Minutes story on resveratrol.
I mean it sounded like we’d finally found the perfect supplement. Here was something that was found naturally in red wine, grape skins, and a host of other organic materials, and that apparently was able to slow down the aging process to imperceptible levels.
It sounded pretty close to a declaration that we had discovered the long-elusive fountain of youth. So what was my reaction? Well, probably similar to yours. I wanted to get my hands on a resveratrol supplement, and I wanted to do it fast.
That started me on a journey of comparison and research that lasted for several weeks. What I found is that the sources for resveratrol very widely in terms of both quality and price.
I also found out that one of the very best ways to get resveratrol is not to go to your local health food store — and it certainly isn’t to go to the grocery store or pharmacy.
In just a second, I’m going to tell you about the exact process I think you should follow to get what many people consider to be the very best resveratrol supplement around.
And what’s even better is that I’m going to show you how I was able to get it for free!
If you follow the same plan I did and take the same steps, you should be able to get your own supply for free as well. But more on that in a minute.
First, I want to talk about the process I went through so you’ll be able to save yourself some of the time and headache by benefiting from my legwork.
The first thing I did, and it’s probably one of the first things you did, is to do a good old Google search to find stores that were offering a resveratrol supplement.
If you’ve done this, I’m sure that you come across at least five or six — and probably more — stores offering resveratrol in one of many forms. It’s pretty confusing to see all of the different products that are out there. They vary both in terms of quality and in terms of the actual amount of resveratrol that’s in the product.
To make a long story short, I wasn’t all that impressed with what I was able to find in my initial research. It wasn’t until I started digging a little deeper that I found out that you don’t have to pay for resveratrol at all in order to see if it works for you.
I liked that aspect of it a lot. Normally whenever I’m trying out a new supplement, I have to shell out $30 or $40 to get an adequate supply that will allow me to gauge the effects of it.
With resveratrol, in order to get a quality product that had enough of the compound in it for me to make an accurate assessment of the benefits, I would’ve had to spend over $100. I wasn’t necessarily looking forward to that prospect.
But like I said, it was pretty easy once I knew where to look to find a place that was confident enough in the quality of their resveratrol supplement that they were willing to actually give it away, knowing that once I experienced it for myself I would in all likelihood come back for more.
As far as I was concerned, I was a lot more comfortable going with a company that I knew wasn’t interested in charging me up front. I mean what if I ordered resveratrol from the first source I found when I did that initial Google search, and then found out that what I ordered wasn’t right, or didn’t contain enough resveratrol to be worth anything? That’s just money that you’re throwing down the drain at that point.

Zac Lutz asked:
When you come across a supplement which promises reducing the risk of heart diseases, strokes, aging, cancer and prevention from Alzheimer’s disease – you’re ought to be thrilled. Resveratrol supplements don’t only prevent such diseases, but in fact also help you reduce your weight by boosting up your metabolism. Research and manufacturers of Resveratrol supplements have been claiming this since a while now.
These pills, which carry a substance called “Resveratrol”, are extracted from red and white wine. During the past year or so, Resveratrol supplements have stormed into many stores as well Internet sites. Studies prove that mice which eat resveratrol live comparatively longer and healthier lives. A discovery as stunning as this could just prove to be too good for human beings in terms of living their lives in a healthier way.
What is inside Resveratrol supplements?
Resveratrol supplements contain a matter called Resveratrol, which is often linked with the benefits provided by red wine duly because of its existence within the skin of grape fruits. Resveratrol is also found in a wide range of fruits which include raspberries, white pine, peanuts and cranberries. The substance is actually produced within these plants as a defense mechanism against fungal infections and bacteria. The amount of Resveratrol within foods varies; in fact the Spanish red wines could have twice as much as Resveratrol in the Pinot Noir specifically because of the use of differing grapes while producing these wines.
What do studies claim about Resveratrol supplements?
Numerous research studies which were conducted in the previous two years have swarmed the world about its beneficial facts. According to one study, people belonging to the middle aged group who eat a lot of food which has a lot of fat in it but contains large amounts of Resveratrol dozes have higher chances to live more and a lower chance of getting diabetes. Another study claims that people who eat fat diets but take large amounts of resveratrol dozes may have lower levels of insulin within their bodies, which simultaneously decreases the risk of getting heart diseases and diabetes.
Usage and Recommendation of Resveratrol supplements
Health benefits provided by these supplements are thrilling to say the least, and they promise a healthy future. It is not yet known about the amount of usage of resveratrol supplements benefit the human beings exactly. No side effects have yet been found, but it is noted that women with a history of estrogen sensitive cancer should not take these supplements partly because their bodies can have an estrogen sort of effect on their bodies.

Howy Snyder asked:
Scientists have been studying resveratrol and its properties for decades. Back in the 80s the scientific community was already researching the impact on mice and other animals, but it was until about 2 years ago that this supplement took the world by storm when a study from Harvard was published.
The study consisted of a group of mice placed on a high fat diet. The group was divided in 2: one group was given resveratrol and the other did not. The study revealed that the group that also received resveratrol seemed to be in better health and also, did not report weight gain, as opposed to the other group of mice that had been given the exact same diet except the supplement.
These results were so astounding that in April of 08, there was special report on TV called “Live to 150, Can You Do It? And among the things discussed on this report was resveratrol and its properties. Also, in March of the previous year, there was an article on Men’s Health named “Reverse Aging” that studied the different supplements loaded with antioxidants to fight free radicals and it was concluded that Resveratrol was the most effective and it was compered to drinking over 160 glasses of red wine.
Resveratrol is found on grape skins and it works by activating a gene in the cells that slows down the aging process. That is why is a great supplement for anti aging remedies, to control heart disease and to control obesity among many other reported benefits.

Andrew Ekman asked:
I’m a big proponent of resveratrol supplements. I think they’re the best thing. I’ve been bending my family’s ears about it for about a year now, but I had never talked to my mother-in-law about it. I don’t usually get into her business that much, however she’s struggled with her weight a bit in recent years (although I’d say that to her face) and seemed to be losing a bit of her usual vigor last time I saw her.
Not so today. After getting my regular serving of “advice” from her the conversation had warmed up a bit. I asked her if she knew about resveratrol, and if so, would she be open to taking resveratrol supplements. She got a little ‘animated’ and then launched into one of her stories.
Do I know about resveratrol supplements? Let me tell you what I know about resveratrol supplements. I’m going down the stairs to the subway last week and, you know, it’s crowded. I’m waiting there on the platform and there’s this… lady, you know. So she’s making herself up, fluffing herself all over her face with powder. Finally she’s finished. She puts her case away and then pulls out a stick of gum. It was Arrowmint, possibly Juicy Fruit. I don’t know. She bends it onto her tongue and starts chewing, real polite like. Then she takes it out again. She puts it in a tissue, and now she’s taking out another bottle.
I’m looking at her all this time and I can’t stand it. I say to her, “Excuse me. What are you doing?” “I’m taking my resveratrol. Who are you?” “My name is Florence. Resvera what?” “ResveraTROL. Mind your own business Florence. Look, your train is coming!” And so it was. How did she know that? Well, I got home and asked Pearl’s little boy Anthony to find out what resveratrol was for me on the internet. It’s an anti-aging supplement Andrew! I bought myself a bottle of resveratrol!
I told Flo I was “happy” she was going to be with us even longer. Piecing together the chain of events that led to even my mother-in-law finding out about. and then becoming a consumer of resveratrol supplements, made me realize just how much awareness of Resveratrol has steadily grown over the last five years or so. Researchers have been publishing papers on resveratrol research since 1991, but was in 2006 when David Sinclair and Joseph Bauer published their research paper in the scientific journal Nature that excitement over resveratrol really started to build.
Then TV magazines got a hold of the story, did their profiles on Sinclair and catapulted Resveratrol into the popular awareness. Any why not? Resveratrol has a story unlike any other health product on the market. When taken in sufficient concentration, it activates a normally silent gene called the Sirtuin gene. The ‘turning on’ of the Sirtuin gene triggers a survival mechanism in humans, the result of which is the activation of the body’s natural genetic defenses against diseases. What kind of natural genetic defenses are we talking about? Well quite a few, and in the most lethal of diseases.
Diabetes: Resveratrol improves the ability of diabetes sufferers to break down and use sugar, lowering their blood glucose level.
Cardiovascular Disease: Resveratrol lowers the levels of free radicals in arterial endothelial cells (cells that line the arteries) and prevents arterial plaque, that hardens arteries, from forming.
Cancer: Resveratrol targets specific proteins that necessary in the formation of cancer cells and also destabilizes the process leading to cancer cells forming.
Alzheimer’s Disease: Resveratrol interferes with the ability of amyloid-beta, the protein that causes neuron degeneration in Alzheimer’s Disease, to accumulate, as well as reducing the toxicity in the amyloid-beta that has already accumulated.
Obesity: Resveratrol reduces fat mass by signaling to fat cells to stop accumulating fat, and to shed the fat that has already accumulated.
And if you aren’t suffering from any disease, Resveratrol still:
increases your energy by inducing ‘mitochondrial biogenesis’, which results in more ATP (the molecule that produces energy) being produced is a high powered antioxidant helping keep the body clean and making exercise easier.
It’s no wonder then, with all this going for it, that resveratrol supplements have appeared on the market and are being promoted quite heavily. But all is not well on the resveratrol supplement front. Unfortunately, the public excitement over resveratrol has been exploited to a certain degree by some supplement vendors. The result has been products being promoted as resveratrol that are in fact a low quantity of resveratrol combined with a cocktail of other ingredients, free trial offers with autoship programs that are very difficult to cancel out of, companies with very bad customer service (or no customer service at all), deceptive marketing, and more.
The con artists will be found out and eliminated from the marketplace soon enough, they are not my main concern. The most important question about resveratrol supplements, I believe, is how much resveratrol should you take? Well, that really deserves a discussion all of it’s own, but if we are to follow the lead of those who really would know, it would be instructive to see what the people researching resveratrol “do” when it comes to taking supplements.
David Sinclair has indicated in a couple of interviews that he takes resveratrol. This itself is very heartening. But how much does he take? He hasn’t directly said (as Harvard Medical School doesn’t allow him to), but he has indicated he takes a dosage of 5mgs per kg of body weight per day. That puts his daily resveratrol dosage at about 315 mgs per day. If you want to emulate his intake for yourself, multiply your body weight in kilograms by 5 mgs and you will have your daily serving. The average person will end up between 300 and 500 mgs per day.
So you’re a bit on the heavy side and after doing that calculation you are a little worried about taking too much? Take heart, research has been done with human subjects showing daily resveratrol dosages as high as 9000 mgs cause no adverse side effects. The only signs of toxicity showed up when the daily dose of resveratrol was 10,000 mgs. I conveyed this fact to my mother-in-law, trying to gently suggest she could probably afford to buy a more potent supplement formulation than the one she had. “I’m very happy with my resveratrol Andrew… Thank you!”. It comes in the mail every month.” What can you do? At least has her spark back.
Resveratrol supplements are here to stay, the benefits are too many and too profound for resveratrol to ignored or for it to go away. Let’s face it, if the whole story hooked Flo, well, I think you should look into including them in your daily supplement regime too.

Sarah Cole asked:
By now I am sure that you have heard of the new resveratrol supplements. These are being touted as the fountain of youth by some, but will the work for you? To find out, you can take advantage of the resveratrol supplement free trials and see for yourself if it is all it is cracked up to be, without spending a lot of money.
Resveratrol has been being studied since the 1980s but it was not until Dr. Oz and Oprah talked about its wonderful abilities did it really go mainstream.
Scientists found out that resveratrol is a major component in the seeds of grapes, which help it fight off fungus and disease. And resveratrol is also present in red wine, as the grapes stay in contact with the skins in the red wine making process, unlike the when making white wine. And it is believed that resveratrol is the reason that red wine is so good for people.
However, in order to get the same amount of resveratrol by drinking wine that is in the supplements, you would have to drink 100 bottles a day. Of course no one in their right mind will do this, which is why the resveratrol supplement free trials are so popular.
You find a variety of trial offers for resveratrol, so you can pick and choose which one is best for your. There is even AliveMax, which includes a spray variety of resveratrol that is available as a trial. Some believe that the spray form is the best, due to its rate of absorption, but you can try it and see for yourself.

Dan Reeves asked:
The market today is flooded with numerous resveratrol supplements. Some of them are effective while some of them are even more effective. So, how does one ensure picking the best one out?
Here is a quick checklist that you can consult while making your pick. It will help you evaluate the various options available for the resveratrol supplements.
1. Check the resveratrol dosage mentioned on the label.
While the common ones have it somewhere in between 50-350 mg, the recommended dosage is nearly 450 mg for an average person. A potent supplement should ideally contain 450-500 mg of this natural substance.
2. Make sure you choose the one which has multi vitamins.
This is extremely important and beneficial. When the different natural and medicinal herbs and substances work together in synergy, the health benefits are tremendously amplified. These supplements are far better than the ones which have standalone resveratrol only.
3. Make sure you choose the one which comes with an enteric coating.
The most effective supplements should come with an enteric coating around. This coating helps in protecting them from the various acids present in the stomach and thus lets them reach the small intestine intact.
When they are finally dissolved in the small intestine, the nutrients get fully absorbed in the body. This is the best way to get all the health benefits from these natural substances.
4. Make sure to go through the consumer testimonials before you ultimately decide on the supplement.
The testimonials present an unbiased view on the effectiveness of the supplement. In fact since it is coming directly from the consumers who are using it, it becomes the best and proven source of information. This is something that you can really rely on.
With these easy to ensure checks, I am sure you too will be able to find the best one out of the vast hub of resveratrol supplements. With the never ending list of resveratrol benefits, this simple exercise is a very little price to pay.
Here are the top 3 benefits that this natural ingredient can provide to you:
1. It fights against the free radical damage caused to the body and thus slows down the process of aging. It speedily removes the old dead cells with the new healthy ones and enhances the overall health of the body.
2. It prevents the growth of abnormal self-duplicating cells which can lead to cancer and thus prevents these deadly diseases from occurring. It is also extremely helpful for providing a better protection against liver tumor.
3. It increases the rate of metabolism in the body and helps in losing weight in a healthy and natural manner – without the need of stringent diets or rigorous exercises. Moreover, it also boosts the body with natural energy.
So, now you know it all. Your next step? To use what you have just learnt and start evaluating the available resveratrol supplements.

Henri K. Junttila asked:
We are all influenced by what we see on television and in movies and most of us look up to celebrities. We are always looking for new ways to look younger forever, and now it seems that an effective resveratrol from grape supplement can actually do the trick! Most people still seem to be skeptics, but here are a few facts that anyone can see!
The first thing that you need to know about taking supplements is in order to see proper results, you need to take the proper dosage each day. You cannot double the dose when you miss a day otherwise you could end up damaging important organs. A resveratrol from grape supplement actually has the natural ingredients that are needed in order to wipe away some of those wrinkles and make you look a possible few years younger!
There are still studies that are being conducted that support the anti-aging theory in resveratrol. While there still remain to be some missing links, the products that are out on the market today are quite effective and customer approved. You can find a wide variety of these resveratrol from grape supplement products online for lower prices. Those trying to save money and get back on the healthy side of life should definitely make sure that they invest in these products online.
It is important to keep in mind that those of you who are regular smokers will not see the typical results of a resveratrol from grape supplement. When you choose to start taking a multivitamin, for example, you cannot use it as a fix all for obesity and overall bad health. You may want to think about a lifestyle transformation and add in some healthy vegetables and fruits each day.
Eating a healthy diet and then using a multivitamin with resveratrol will give your health a nice boost if you can find a good manufacturer. There are plenty of them out there, but there are also many bad ones. There are also different degrees of grape supplements.
Did you know that research has shown that a grape supplement alone might not be as powerful as a multivitamin that mixes several different nutrients together in a synergistic fashion to enhance the health benefits?

Maria Dell Abate asked:
Are you looking for Resveratrol supplements? If so there are a few things you must consider before you make any purchases. The first thing that you must consider is the fact that a lot of the supplements and other products available on the market that claim to feature Resveratrol do feature it but only in very small amounts.
Most experts agree that you should get at least 500mg of Resveratrol a day for it to have any effect on you. The problem with that is a lot of the most popular supplements and other products only contain 100mg (or even smaller).
So what you must look for is the content of Resveratrol in the product itself.
Advice For Using Resveratrol Capably
When and if you commit yourself to procure Resveratrol supplements make sure you acquire products that advertise a legit extract. What you don’t want to do is invest in a product that claims to contain the super anti-oxidant but in fact does not. Some of the products for sale at this moment may actually only include grape seed or red wine extract. These supplements will certainly include Resveratrol but it will be in such small concentrations that it does not matter. These types of supplements will supply you with hardly any benefits.
Make Sure You Do Not Fall For All Of The Hype
Products that claim to help you lose fat or help you war against the aging process are always predisposed to be exceedingly overhyped. They make appealing and impudent claims and can persuade you to purchase them. Be alert that although Resveratrol supplements are valuable for you it isn’t going to make you look like you are 20 years old and it’s not going to make you melt off 200 pounds. It possibly may help you lose weight and it may help your skin look more youthful but it won’t be so drastic that neighbors, friends, and family will not know you.
Get Costless Trial Packs When You Are Able
Most of these Resveratrol supplements are extraordinarily costly. Hence it becomes clear to check out a free trial when you encounter one. This is a marvelous way to abolish the inadequate products from the acceptable supplements. If you find one you find appealing you can retain it and retain your subscription. If you don’t find it appealing it you can return it and halt your subscription.
Remember not to get lost in the hype, be adept about your purchases, try and identify supplements with actual Resveratrol extract in them, and locate freebie trials so that you do not get held down paying a copious bill for a supplement that you don’t appreciate or does not do its job.

Callie Simmons asked:
Are you looking for that fountain of youth being promised by those who promote using resveratrol supplements? What does this age old antioxidant truly have that makes it desired and used by millions of people all over the world?
So many people are typing resveratrol into Google and looking for the answer to their ailment. But the question remains whether or not this supplement is truly that knight in shining armor you have been hearing about all over the news. You may have even seen Dr. Oz talk about it on the “Oprah” show!
This article seeks to explore the truth behind this red wine extract to find out if it is truly all it is cracked up to be. After all, there are some people who will make claims about products and they turn out to be all hype, right? Who wants to waste their money on those things?
Here is the scoop on resveratrol: the claims appear to be TRUE. Aside from doctors talking about it on TV, there are many other experts touting the amazing powers of this red wine derivative.
One exciting effect consumers are noticing with resveratrol supplements is the increase in metabolism allowing for faster weight loss. So many people want to lose extra fat, so using a natural supplement is often a great way to accomplish that.
Another great thing about resvertrol is the anti aging benefits that have been scientifically studied. Who doesn’t want to slow down the aging process? Everyone does!
In studies, resveratrol appears to help lower blood sugar and is an anti-inflammatory as well. It also has an anti-cancer affect, which is a huge discovery itself.
Because resveratrol can be found in the skins of grapes, you can imagine it would be quite hard to get all that you need in a day. This is why many people choose to take quality resveratrol supplements rather than trying to eat that much in one day.

Cynthia Wang-Tan asked:
Resveratrol is a natural substance known for its amazing medicinal properties. It is naturally found in red grapes, mulberries, peanuts, and Japanese knotweed. Based on a number of clinical studies, experts say that it has antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties. It is extremely potent and is known to lower the risk of a number of health problems in human beings.
If you are looking for a high quality health supplement that can prevent aging, boost your immune system, and reduce the risk of various diseases, make sure you read this article fully.
5 Health Benefits of Resveratrol
1. It lowers the risk of cancer considerably by reducing the activity of inflammatory cytokines in your body.
2. It increases the amount of good cholesterol (HDL) and decreases the amount of bad cholesterol (LDL) in your body and prevents atherosclerosis and various cardiovascular problems.
3. It stunts the growth of herpes simplex virus.
4. It reduces the risk of arthritis and other such inflammatory diseases to a great extent.
5. Resveratrol plays a crucial role in skin health. It is a highly potent antioxidant which fights the free radicals in your body and prevents them from damaging your skin. This prevents the common signs of aging skin like wrinkles, age spots, dark circles, lines, and cracks.
Source of Resveratrol
Now, I am sure you must be wondering as to what you can do to get the health benefits of resveratrol. Drinking red wine is a good idea. Similarly, eating red grapes, mulberries, and peanuts is also a good idea.
The problem, however, is that these substances only contain a small amount of trans-resveratrol. So, you might have to drink a large amount of red wine and eat lots of grapes and mulberries to get the health benefits you want. It is, as you know, not possible. So, what can you do? Let me tell you.
Resveratrol Supplements
You can take a health supplement which contains resveratrol. There are some high quality health supplements which contain this substance. Fortunately, I was able to find one such supplement recently. It contains everything needed for the human body – essential vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids, herbal extracts, and other nutrients.
I have been taking this supplement for about 2 years now and I can already feel the difference in my body. The best part about this supplement is that a month’s supply costs less than $50. In other words, I spend less than what I usually spend on Starbucks to get all the essential nutrients required for my body.
I hope you found the article informative folks. The health benefits of resveratrol, as you can see, are quite amazing. It is a substance which is beneficial for people of all ages. So, start taking a high quality supplement which contains, among other essential nutrients, resveratrol. You will be surprised to see the results.

Tim Bonds asked:
It’s amazing how resveratrol gained massive popularity just by being featured on 60 minutes. Granted that this is one of the most respected and influential TV shows in the world, the way it catapulted resveratrol into the limelight is still quite phenomenal. A simple story on how two researchers isolated the red wine component that apparently solves the French paradox has made resveratrol almost a household name and definitely one of the hottest products on the market today.
The emergence of resveratrol supplements is indeed great news, because even if only half of its purported benefits turn out to be true in the long run, that would still count as a major medical breakthrough. However, nothing is really perfect in this world. For one thing, resveratrol’s extreme popularity has resulted in a few problems for those who want to take advantage of its benefits.
There are several people who have jumped into the fray and are now selling supplements when, in fact, they shouldn’t really be in the business at all. These are the companies who either sell pills of inferior quality or those who sell good quality products at unbelievably exorbitant prices. There are also those who resort to fraudulent marketing strategies just to get you to part with your hard-earned money. So if you want to buy resveratrol supplements, you need to take some important things into consideration.
First of all, if a company claims that their product is endorsed by celebrities like Oprah, you can be sure that they cannot be trusted. Neither Oprah nor Dr. Oz has endorsed a particular product, so be very careful about these claims. Some companies also claim to give you a free trial period. In this case, you have to read the fine print because you just might be made to pay monthly fees whether you decide to continue using the product after the trial or not.
You should also check a supplement’s ingredients. The best resveratrol supplements are those that contain all natural ingredients, and the concentration of resveratrol should be at least 50%. But of course, the best way to ensure that the supplement you are taking is safe is to consult your doctor before making any purchase. Your doctor can give the appropriate advice on the possible side effects of a particular pill, and check how it will interact with an existing medical condition that you may have. This step is especially important if you are currently under medication.

Kristen Ross asked:
Resveratrol, found in red wine, is a popular supplement on the market today that is currently being studied for its health benefits, but there may be Resveratrol side effects. Consumer reports state that the side effects listed below have been experienced.
Insomnia Joint pain in the hands, feet or hips Stomach pain Diarrhea Discolored urine Buzzed feeling, dizziness or jitters
Many can be avoided by choosing a Resveratrol Supplement that uses a 99% Pure Trans-Resveratrol. Additives and impurities, such as Emodin (a laxative), may be present in lower quality products, and are responsible for most of the negative side effects. If your Resveratrol supplement does not specify 99% Trans-Resveratrol, then the supplement is low quality.
Although Resveratrol side effects may differ from person to person, it is suggested that prior to taking any health supplement, consumers should consult their physicians. Resveratrol is suggested as a supplement to aid in reducing bad cholesterol, preventing damage to blood vessels, reducing the risk of cancer and slowing the aging process. Resveratrol can act as a blood thinner in the body, and may interact with other medications for this purpose.
Resveratrol can affect the user if the wrong dosage, over 500mg, is consumed. Tendonitis can result from an overdose of Resveratrol.
There are many Resveratrol supplements that have invaded the health market, and most are created with additives and fillers. To reap the full benefits of this beneficial supplement without Resveratrol side effects, it is suggested that the consumer find one without additives.
Perfect ResGrape, containing 99% Trans-Resveratrol and whole-food Muscadine Grapes, is an example of a Resveratrol supplement that doesn’t contain any additives, fillers or flow-agents. The natural ingredients are grown without toxic pesticides. The ingredients list consists of 99% pure Trans-Resveratrol (the purest, natural Resveratrol available) and Whole-Food Muscadine Grapes, contained in Vegetable Capsules. Muscadine Grapes are unique grapes because they contain natural Resveratrol, and the co-factors necessary for maximum absorption of Resveratrol.

Milton Haslam asked:
Most people don’t realize this but the best way to get resveratrol benefits is by getting it from resveratrol supplements. What you are probably are thinking is — Why?
First, a little history. Although we have known about its existence for decades it was a 2006 Harvard study along with numerous others that have unearthed the numerous resveratrol benefits. These include protection against age-related diseases such as cancer, diabetes 2, atherosclerosis, and Alzheimer’s.
How does it work?
This is accomplished in two ways.
1] Flavonoids are powerful antioxidants that suppress the negative effects of the natural oxidation in our bodies.
2] This is where it gets interesting. Resveratrol imitates calorie restriction in our diets. Studies as far back as World War 2 have shown that reducing calorie intake in organisms as diverse as yeast and mammals has an anti-aging effect. In humans and mammals this is done through a family of genes called Sirtuins. Although research is still on going, the first of these, Sirt 1, is what we now believe at least partially responsible for cell regulation. This includes stabilizing and repairing DNA molecules thus preventing cancer from forming. Sirt 1 also slows down the cell and tissue changes related to aging.
In other words, Sirt 1 thinks that there are fewer calories even if it is an illusion; but it doesn’t seem to matter because the anti-aging and anti-disease process is started anyway.
Why is a supplement better?
What we are dealing with here is a natural plant antibiotic from the flavonoid family derived chiefly from red wine, red grape seeds and skins and to a lesser extent mulberries and peanuts. Multiple studies have indicated that somewhere between 10-50 mg per day is ample for most of us. Unfortunately we will not get any where near that amount unless we drink 10-20 bottles of wine or constantly munch on grape skins.
In addition, there is a lot we not know about flavonoids as a group but one thing that is agreed on is that they don’t work alone. Even if you get some of them through natural foods you would still miss out on others that would be needed to get the full effect.
What are the best resveratrol supplements?
It is possible and desirable to take it as part of a balanced vitamin/nutrient plan. Our supplement should contain 10-50 mg, be from natural sources [look for the word trans] and have a high potency [50% of active ingredients is the best]. When combined with the right antioxidants, enzymes and vitamins we will have a powerful life extending cocktail.

Jeremy Lucas asked:
Resveratrol is currently one of the hottest supplements out there. It has been talked about on nearly every major TV network and online health site. People such as Dr. OZ Â have gone on national television to talk about all the potential benefits that it has. Many of us do not want to take man made drugs unless it can be avoided, so people want to know where they can find natural resveratrol.
Well, I have good news for you guys; nearly all resveratrol you can find will be natural. You see, this “anti-aging wonder drug” is created naturally as a defense mechanism by many plants. Grapes and red wine are the most well known sources, but it can also be found in many different berries, as well as peanuts. While there is synthetic resveratrol available, almost all the supplements you will find will come from natural sources. These pills are most often derived from a plant called Japanese Knotwood.
Getting enough resveratrol to have a significant impact is not easy if you only get it from the foods you eat. Red wine contains the highest levels of resveratrol, and you would probably have to drink 5-10 bottles each day to see the benefits of resveratrol that people are reporting. Obviously, it is not healthy to drink that much alcohol each day, so your best bet will be to turn to supplements.
When you are shopping around for the best resveratrol supplement you should be careful to avoid most of the free trial offers that you see online. They are cheap upfront, but often end up costing close to $100 each month for a low quality supplement. The supplements that I have found that are of the highest quality do not even cost half that much on a monthly basis.

M. Baliton asked:
At this present age, there are many products in the market that promote natural and organic components. In fact, the market has many herbal medicines from Asia especially from the regions of China and Japan. These countries are known for their herbal tea and remedies.
In fact, one of the newly incorporated remedies is resveratrol from grape supplement. Resveratrol may sound unfamiliar in the Western region but studies show that this compound has been used by the Japanese since centuries.
Resveratrol comes from the Japanese Knotweed plant or commonly known in Japan as ko-jo-kon. Due to its high content of resveratrol, the early Japanese called this plant as one that has healing power.
Maybe they are correct to refer to this compound as having healing power. You see, this active ingredient, resveratrol, that is found in the Japanese Knotweed plant, performs three important functions. It acts as an anti-oxidant, an anti-mutagen and an anti-inflammatory agent.
The anti-oxidant compound fights against the pollutants that are found in the surroundings. It is like a shield to our body. Meanwhile, the anti-mutagen compound inhibits the mutation of healthy cells into cancerous ones. And the anti-inflammatory compound helps lessen any adverse reaction to foreign particles. You see, with these compounds, you are sure to acquire the necessary protection and restoration that your body needs.
Aside from the Japanese Knotweed plant, there are also other food sources that are rich in resveratrol. In fact, some of these sources are grapes, peanuts and berries.
Mainly, resveratrol is obtained from the skins of fruits and vegetables. But experts suggest that the resveratrol from grape supplement is the ideal one to take.
A better alternative is to look for a multi nutrient supplement that can provide you many other natural substances too like green tea extract, ginger extract, Lutein etc. apart from resveratrol. This would make for a very powerful combination and be even more beneficial for your health.
Also, make sure the supplement you choose comes in an enteric coating. This ill protect the supplement from the digestive acids in the stomach and will allow the release of its nutrients in the small intestine only, where the body can absorb the maximum nutrients from it. This one single check will help you get the maximum benefits out of your supplement.
In conclusion, it’s recommended to look for a multi nutrient supplement instead of just resveratrol from grape supplement. To know where you can find a good one, visit my website now.

You have probably heard about resveratrol or seen references to it on magazines or TV shows where celebrities are explaining the almost miraculous properties of this supplement on anti aging and obesity. But what exactly is resveratrol? And why is it so important when it comes to keeping your body feeling and looking young?
Resveratrol is a compound found in all plants and it is an antioxidant that combats free radicals. It is found in higher concentration in red wine than in any other way due to the fact that red wine uses the grape, skin and seeds to be made. The antioxidant properties of resveratrol fight free radicals in your body. Free radicals are highly reactive cells in your body that are responsible for premature aging, obesity and cancer growth. Resveratrol is responsible for neutralizing their effect on your body and the result is that they are a fantastic supplement to avoid heart disease, obesity and premature aging.
Now, because resveratrol is found in highest amounts in red wine, that doesn’t give you permission to become a drunk. You can still get the same benefits by taking it in a pill. I mean, if you are disciplined enough and you can manage to get one small glass of red wine a day, then you are good to go, but if you have any condition or are pregnant, then your best bet is to take it as a pill. As always, you need to discuss this with your doctor and make sure that you two are on the same page.

Sara J. Banks asked:
In a study back in 2005, it was found that at 20 mcg/mL resveratrol, a phytolaxin found in red grapes and red wine, reduced flu virus replication by ninety percent, and at double that dose, it blocked the replication completely. This may make the use of resveratrol supplements even more advantageous than ever before.
The Swine flu was not around in 2005 to be studied and tested, but how this “miracle molecule” attacks a normal flu virus may make the outcome the same. After all, they are all viruses, and their replication process is the same, in that they do not have their own metabolism and require the hosts cells to replicate.
Research indicates that somehow this phytolaxin has the capacity to block the ability of the microorganism to replicate by using the nucleus of a cell to make the microbes DNA. As long as the molecule in the red grape extract is present, it can block the bug, but in cases where it was removed, only for a few hours, the pathogen was soon multiplying at will.
It appears a steady presence of this molecule could protect against a this bug, including the new strain. Additionally, because it simply blocks replication instead of attacking it directly and causing it to mutate, like drugs can, flu viruses are less likely to become resistant to the effects of resveratrol like they do with drugs.
In this light, resveratrol supplements taken regularly may be an effective protection against the illnesses most dreaded in the colder months.

Frank Zhang asked:
For years we’ve been hearing about the healthy effects of red wine and reading about how doctors encourage everyone to have a glass a night, but do you know why? Red wine resveratrol is the magic ingredient that can help burn calories and protect your heart, and with such a health benefit found in such an appealing package, it’s no wonder that more people are trading in their juice for wine with dinner.
Resveratrol is a natural substance that plants produce as an antibiotic to protect them from bacteria. It is called a phytoalexin, and it can be found in many different plants, including grapes, blueberries, raspberries, cranberries and even peanuts, which contain one of the highest natural doses of resveratrol. It can also be found in red wine, since it is made from red grapes and their skins, where large amounts of resveratrol is found. Doctors suggest that drinking one glass of red wine each night can give your body a steady, healthy amount of resveratrol to help balance your health.
Interestingly, the discovery of the benefits of resveratrol was made by observing different cultures, which lead to the “French Paradox”. In France, it is customary to eat many rich and fatty foods, like creams and cheeses, however they also consume red wine with their meals. Despite the high levels of fat in their diet, they have one of the lowest percentages of heart disease, and it is though to be due to the inclusion of red wine in their diet that helps balance their cholesterol and protect their hearts.
Studies on resveratrol have shown many positive effects of adding resveratrol to your daily consumption, but the one that many people talk about is weight loss. It is a powerful antioxidant that can help prevent fat from building up in the body, help burn calories faster, and even prevent diabetes. These benefits alone are exciting to many, but resveratrol is also known to be an anti-aging substance, as well as protecting the body from heart disease and can work as an anti-inflammatory. In supplement form, the doses tend to be lower than in natural form, so to gain all the advantages, adding berries and nuts to your diet could prolong your life.
There is still some controversy on how powerful resveratrol actually is, and not all studies are conclusive, but preliminary showings and people’s experiences dictate that resveratrol can make a huge difference in helping them become healthier and fitter. Red wine resveratrol, when consumed in moderation daily, could be the key to your active future.

Paul Taylor King asked:
Everyone wants to find the fountain of youth. But this fabled fountain just exists in folk tales. In reality, there is no such spring that could restore health and youth in a snap. What the world has, especially at this age and time, are cosmetic surgeries that promise to restore your youthful look by making the skin supple again and eliminating those unwanted lines that come with aging. These procedures, however, may not be easy on the pocket. So what could be an alternative? Would you just look for the fountain of youth instead? With no pun intended, you can still do something to maintain that youthful glow. Age is something that the body could not prevent, but with Resveratrol Supplements you can delay the aging process while feeling good and healthy at the same time.
Resveratrol is a powerful anti-oxidant found in fruits such as raspberries, blueberries, red grapes and mulberries. They can also be found in red wine, knotweed and peanuts. This compound is also called “phytoalexin” since it is naturally produced by plants to combat bacteria and virus brought about by stress, environmental toxins and changing weather conditions. Having a resveratol-enriched diet could also create wonders in the body as this antioxidant agent is known to prevent fatal diseases such as heart and kidney malady. So aside from the anti-aging properties that they possess, Resveratrol Supplements indeed will not just give you that youthful glow, but long-term and good feel health as well.
For the longest time, red wine has been the first in the list of resveratrol-enriched products. But with the introduction of dietary supplements that contain the said agent, you need not drink several glasses of red wine just to get the concentrated amount of resveratrol that your body needs. Every time you pop a pill of this food supplement, you get to reap the same benefits that you could get when drinking two bottles of red wine. And the best part is that you get to save yourself as well from the wine’s empty calories and alcohol content that may have negative effect on the body as well. If you still believe in the fountain of youth and even plan to search for it, look now further because Resveratrol supplements could be that very spring.

Paul Taylor King asked:
Just when you think that the fountain of youth could only be found in folk tales, you might want to think again because there is now a line of product that could restore youth and health just like the legendary spring. These products are called Resveratrol Supplements that offer long-term health coupled with youthful glow and feeling of well-being. Hence, in every resveratrol dosage offered by these supplements, you are assured of healthy cells that will make your skin glow and make you feel better and healthier as well.
Boosting your body’s resveratrol level could be done through regular intake of fruits such as cranberries, mulberries and raspberries. You could also add nuts in your diet if you want a heap of this powerful compound. Resveratrol could also be found in the stems and roots of certain pine trees and knotweed, especially in the Japanese knotweed plant. And red wine, by far, is the best known product that contains resveratrol since they are made from the skin of grapes in which the agent abounds. Having too much wine in a day, however, could be a bit pricey to some. Also, too much wine intake could be hazardous to health as it contains empty calories and alcohol compounds. Hence, this modern-day fountain of youth could be the best alternative. Including these daily supplements give you resveratrol dosage equivalent to that of drinking wine sans the calorie and alcohol.
These daily supplements are out in the market and are taking great strides. They are offered by different manufacturers so you have to take extra careful steps so that you could choose the product that is not a mere bluff or scam. You could also find companies that offer other sweet deals like free-trial promos and money-back guarantee. Thus, aside from the great deal of health benefits and well-being offered by each resveratrol dosage, you also get to experience great offers and rewards from their makers. And why wait? Be one of those who have been in search for the fountain of youth through these modern dietary supplements.

Martin Loader asked:
Resveratrol dietary supplement capsules have been becoming increasingly popular since they were reported on 60 minutes in January 2009. Why have they become so sought after and what can they do for you?
Resveratrol is a polyphenol antioxidant that comes from grapes, peanuts, berries and cocoa beans. Most of the resveratrol dietary supplements that are made today come from the Japanese knotweed. They have been used in Japan and China for several decades as a treatment for a wide range of conditions such as heart and liver diseases, inflammation, lethargy, infections and for weight loss.
Today, scientists have been researching resveratrol extensively and have found that it can benefit our health in many ways that were never even considered.
Resveratrol dietary supplement is probably most commonly known for its anti aging properties. They do this by an attack on more than one front.
1. It activates longevity genes called sirtuins. Sirtuins help protect our cells from deterioration and also helps with restoring damaged cells.
2. The antioxidant prevents the formation of free radicals that damage our cells and also kills free radicals that do develop.
Another way that resveratrol dietary supplements can benefit our health is by reducing our weight.
Those longevity genes called sirtuins can help in other ways apart from anti aging. When resveratrol activates the sirtuins, it is activating the same gene that a reduction in calories, or fasting, activates. When fasting occurs, our cells start to burn off the excess fat in our body. This burning of fat in itself uses extra energy and more weight is lost.
The other major disease that resveratrol is being researched for is cancer, in which it seems it has potential to prevent different cancers in several ways. Although these are some promising results the research is at a very early stage.
Because resveratrol dietary supplements can protect our cells and therefore prolong their life, this can have a knock on effect of protecting our bodies from many other ailments such as heart disease, neurological complaints, Alzheimer’s, rheumatoid arthritis and can improve energy levels, immune system and respiratory problems.
Resveratrol is a completely natural product and has a low degree of side effects. It’s true potential has yet to be revealed but it certainly has made a good start.

Milton Haslam asked:
When was the last time you used resveratrol from grape supplements? There is a whole cottage industry selling red grape seed and skin extract. I want to put aside their sometimes ridiculous prices for what are essentially the by products of the wine making process and concentrate on why people buy them.
The original research was done in 1936 by Dr. Jacques Masquelier of the Pasteur Institute and has been followed by studies too numerous to cite here. What scientists have discovered over the years is that the numerous bioflavonoids in red grapes have powerful antioxidant properties. Antioxidants fight the free radicals you generate with every breath you take. They are uncontrolled oxidants that damage cells. Over time, this causes both your health and body to deteriorate. This is the natural process of aging but it can be resisted.
There are two antioxidant properties that interest us here. Â
1] Grape extract contains proanthocyanidins [pardon my language]. This particular group of bioflavonoids enhances the abilities of Vitamin C to enter and strengthen cells and cell membranes which is important for many  reasons but let’s discuss a couple of them: Â
a] Vitamin C is water soluble which means that it doesn’t stay with you very long. Overall, it is by far the most powerful antioxidant but it must be absorbed. In other words, use it or lose it. Â
b] There are over 300 important purposes for Vitamin C in our bodies. Many people who take Vitamin C supplements [several hundred million world wide] still suffer from deficiencies because of a negative chain of events. Their Vitamin C is not absorbed well, which leads to a lack of potency in nutrients that need Vitamin C for absorption, which in turn causes deficiencies in still other nutrients and so on. Â
2] Resveratrol from grape supplements is one of those bioflavonoids I previously mentioned, but with a twist. Several studies have shown that it stimulates the anti-aging family of genes called Sirtuins. What happens is not only do they fight cancer, heart disease, and Type 2 diabetes but they help prevent them from starting in the first place. Â
To sum up, you can get any of the above nutrients from different sources including pine bark and peanuts. However, for us to get all the benefits, it is very important that we get them and especially the resveratrol from grape supplements. You may ask why?
Simply put there are 3 reasons: Â
1] It is a natural source. Look for the word trans [natural] and avoid the cis [synthetic]. Â
2] It is potent in small doses which avoids some of the side effects like joint pains and stomach problems. Â
3] It can be taken as part of a multi-nutrient supplement that allows absorption of all the antioxidants we need.

Christensen Martin asked:
You are struggling with a few pounds of too much weight, and want to get in shape before bikini time. You already know that eating healthy and doing exercise on a regularly basis is some of the most important issues to lose those stubborn pounds of excessive body weight.
But there is another important key compound you can put into to your diet, to accelerate a permanent weight loss!
What is Resveratrol?
The compound is the supplement Resveratrol derived from vine grapes and Japanese Knotweed. Resveratrol is located just beneath the skin of the grapes. Resveratrol is the main reason for why many doctors recommend people to drink a glass of vine every day because it is very rich in anti oxidants. But there are many more reasons for why Resveratrol is a very potent weight loss agent well.
What does Resveratrol do to help you lose weight?
The most important is that Resveratrol is able to inhibit the secretion of insulin that is being released by your pancreas, when you eat sweet stuff or sugar rich food. Usually when insulin is around in your body, the sugar just released is getting stored as fat instead of being burned as energy. By letting Resveratrol inhibiting the secretion of Insulin, No fat storage will occur and no hunger hormones will be triggered. You will simply feel full and satisfied with no cravings of sweet stuff. By keeping your insulin levels down you will also experience less appetite.
Which Resveratrol Supplement should I choose?
There are many different types of Resveratrol products around one of the biggest differences is the amount of Resveratrol in a capsule and which other ingredients are in the capsule as well.
If you are an athlete I recommend you to use the 1000mg Resveratrol Capsules, because then you will experience many other benefits to, like increased muscular development and endurance. If you are a normal person that just wants to lose a little weight and only go to the gym maybe 2 or 3 times a week, then 2 times 100mg of Resveratrol capsules is fine for you.
Because of Resveratrol can be quite expensive, I recommend you to get a couple of Resveratrol trials to try out and see what suits your need best.

Dewey R Oliver asked:
Resveratrol is a plant substance in red grapes and grape seeds. Resveratrol has anti-oxidant, anti inflammatory and cholesterol lowering properties, making it a vital addition to any health programme. With its range of helpful properties it is known to do a lot; from preventing heart problems and some cancers to lowering cholesterol levels and even slowing the development of Alzheimer’s disease. There is a level of estrogen inhibition that occurs with Resveratrol. While this should be a concern for certain girls, it is definitely not a concern for other man who wants the health benefits of Resveratrol. Its ability to increase the effects of calorie restriction and lengthen life in assorted animal studies has got patrons excited about the benefits of taking a Reseveratrol supplement. With people growing older every year, and fighting to stay young and healthy, there’s a huge market for any supplement that has the potentiality to make folks feel younger and more vibrant.
The first time Resveratrol was obtained from the roots of Eastern Knotweed in the year 1940. Since that time it has been disclosed that it is abundant in the grapes, berries and red wine; it is established that the plants in response as an antibiotic to bacterial and fungal infections produce it.
Resveratrol Ultra balances the body hormones and also counteracts the oxidation of melanin cells, the condition that initiates aging spots and also triggers collagen production. This antioxidant in red wine combats the signs and ravages of aging helping extend survival outlook.
Resveratrol Ultra has been utilized by millions of users and they have found lots of benefits and positive changes to their skin. Nature has purported the use of Resveratrol as plants use it to get they recuperating from an injury or a fungal illness. Everyone knows that nature cannot get this wrong and so is the case with Resveratrol.
Resveratrol Select capsule will give you as much Resveratrol as found in 35 bottles of red wine, also save you from the twenty thousand calories of additional weight. Another aspect of Resveratrol Select is the Green Tea Extract ingredient. Green tea increases the metabolism rate in the body that leads to burning and reducing excessive fat. The final critical ingredient in Resveratrol Select is Chromium. Red wine has a high content as the grapes are fermented in their skins for a longer period of time. While there are many Resveratrol sources, it is most usually used to provide Resveratrol for dietary additions.
Study by Sirtris Pharmaceuticals is significant; it shows that Resveratrol Sirtris might be used to treat diabetes in the future and that it seems to be well endured by patients.
Another finding is that Resveratrol is good for weight loss. Studies show that Resveratrol inhibits fat storage and increases metabolism.
Resveratrol is one of the most natural nourishment supplements. As there is limited research on full benefits of this substance, you should take it in a tiny dosage. The supplement which I’m taking has 15 mg to 20 mg. Resveratrol mg about 15 to 20 would be the best to get energy and maintain the ultimate weight.

Ren Vichy asked:
Resveratrol seems to be the new wonder supplement that is all the rage. There are reports from the New York Times, Fox News, WebMD.com and 60 Minutes television program (among others), that seem to be raving about all the possible wonderful health benefits from this extract that comes from grapes and can be found in red wine and grape juice. There is talk that it can do everything from help you lose fat, gain muscle, increase endurance, increase your memory and help your ability to focus and concentrate.
And if that weren’t enough, researchers (real researchers from places like Harvard and reported in journals such as “Nature”) seem to think this supplement has the potential to significantly help a lot of chronic health problems in our society including cancer, heart disease, and nero-degenerative problems such as Alzheimer’s disease.
Not impressed yet? Well what about the team doctor for the world champion Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League writing a book about the anti aging properties and health benefits of supplements including resveratrol. (Just to be clear, resveratrol is a substance, not a product in and of itself; it is used in many supplement products).
With all those incredible health claims, you would think people would be jumping all over getting their hands on resveratrol. I know I was. But then I heard there might be some side effects to be concerned about as a man. So I did a bit of investigating for myself. I was surprised by what I learned.
While the list of potential negative side effects was rather short, there was a list nonetheless. For the most part though, the concerns were for certain women with certain conditions. There is a level of estrogen inhibition that occurs with resveratrol (my non-scientific understanding of it, anyway). And while this may be a concern for certain women, it is certainly not a concern for me or any other man who wants the health benefits of resveratrol. We don’t need or want extra estrogen in our systems, so it can restrict it all it wants as far as I’m concerned!
One concern that was potentially valid for some men, though not me at this point, was regarding the slight blood thinning effect the supplement may have. For anyone on blood thinning medications, they should certainly play it safe and consult with a doctor before adding this supplement to their routine.

Lisa K. Crawford asked:
There are two types of Resveratrol that you can find in the market. These are the Trans Resveratrol and the Cis-Resveratrol that you can purchase for you to take. The trans- is the natural form while the cis- is the synthetic type of Resveratrol that is a product of the chemical synthesis. Most manufacturers and even doctors recommend the trans- form of the said supplement. This is the type of Resveratrol that can be found in red wines, grapes and grape juice. In choosing the Resveratrol that you can safely take, make sure that you choose one with the trans- label. This is the best supplement that you can take to get the effects that you may want to have less the side effects.
Trans Resveratrol actually has many health benefits that you can have especially when you take the type of Resveratrol. The health benefits would include protection from the damage that can be caused by free-radicals, prevention of arthritis, protection of the blood vessels thus protecting the person from certain cardiovascular diseases and cancer. This supplement may also help on the alleviation of the symptoms women experience during menopausal period. The trans- form of Resveratrol is also known to normalize insulin levels and the blood pressure and it also clears out plaques from the arteries. These are just some of the few diseases that can be prevented and managed by the said supplement, studies show that this supplement shows a promising result when it comes to health maintenance and disease prevention.
Although the exact dosage is not yet determined, studies already show that taking Resveratrol pill regularly can give you the protection that you need against some diseases and aging. Studies also show that supplements with higher levels of trans- form of Resveratrol can help the body better because it is sealed in capsules. It is important that the trans- form of the supplement should not be exposed or else it may break down into the cis- form when it will be exposed to light, heat or oxygen making it less effective as a supplement. Thus it is very important for you to choose the supplement that contains the Trans Resveratrol.

M. Baliton asked:
These days, there are more products in the market that claim to provide amazing health benefits – Resveratrol is one of the latest ones. Some of these products cost more than what you actually bargain for. Some cost just the right amount. But the question now is what product is really effective? What are its side effects?
As you know is true about most products, when they provide you with benefits, they also have some downside. There are some side effects or the other.
The real challenge is finding the one that gives you valuable benefits and fewer side effects. The product that you are using might be the one for you but it might be more harmful than you think.
It is time for you to know this secret about resveratrol side effects.
So what is resveratrol?
It is an active ingredient that comes from the Japanese Knotweed plant. But nowadays, scientists have discovered that resveratrol is also found in the skins of fruits and vegetables such as grapes, peanuts and berries.
This ingredient plays three important functions. It acts as an anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory agent and an anti-mutagen.
As an anti-oxidant, resveratrol fights the pollutants that may enter your body. As an anti-inflammatory agent, it helps minimize adverse reactions to foreign substances in the body. It is ideal for those who have heart problems. And as an anti-mutagen, it inhibits the transformation of healthy cells into cancerous cells.
There are countless health benefits that resveratrol offers. Scientists have discovered that resveratrol is good for your heart and circulation system. It prevents the clogging of arteries. It is ideal for those who have high levels of cholesterol. It also eliminates the bad fats that cause heart failures and stroke.
Another amazing recent discovery is that this compound aids in losing weight. Experts agree that it increases your metabolism, making you lose more excess fat than you usually lose when you exercise.
For those men who have problems with their sperm production, resveratrol is what you need. Studies show that it increases men’s sperm production. The reason is that it produces more testosterone in men and prevents further production of estrogen.
Coming to resveratrol side effects, there are a few which specific groups of people need to be aware of. First, since this nutrient has estrogen like activity, women with estrogen related problems need to avoid taking it. Also, if you are taking any blood thinning medicines, then taking resveratrol may magnify their effects, so consult your physician before taking it. Apart from that, this is a pretty safe substance to take.
Fact is – resveratrol side effects are very minimal and are not applicable to a majority of the people. To know how to find the best source of this amazing substance, visit my website now.

Tina Bardo asked:
Does it really reverse aging? And what about weight loss? Is it as good as advertised… or is it ALL just a big bunch of hype? In this article we are going to take a closer look at some of the better reasons to try this “super supplement”, but without being shammed, scammed, ripped off or disappointed. Curious to know more? Great… continue reading as we take a closer look below!
Filed Under: Does it really work?
Good question! And of course… there are lots of different opinions on just how much of a “breakthrough” Resveratrol really is. But one thing is pretty clear – it IS in fact a really healthy, and potentially the most POWERFUL anti-oxidant that money can buy. Where does it come from? Most notably, it’s found naturally in grape skins & some other dark colored berries, and contrary to other over hyped anti-oxidants, Resveratrol has a long litany of potential benefits that HAVE in fact been supported by serious science. (everything from reversing obesity in lab mice, to curbing cancer cells in human trials, to it’s BIGGEST promised benefit, being a veritable fountain of youth in a bottle)
Why would I want to try it?
Another good question! The people who are MOST interested in Resveratrol seem to be those who are most committed to living a healthy, holistic lifestyle to begin with. But most scientists believe that the BIGGEST payoff that this magical and mysterious supplement seems to suggest, are YEARS down the road! Longer, stronger and healthier life seems to be a constant in lab tests done on animals, and most studies seem to suggest the same success is likely in humans as well!

Tina Bardo asked:
Can real Resveratrol be purchased online? Is it expensive? And what about supplement scams, hoaxes and other nefarious nonsense? How do I avoid being ripped off? In this article we are going to take a quick and insightful look at how to buy real Resveratrol online, and the simple steps you must take to avoid being duped, disappointed or taken advantage of as well. Curious to know more? Great… continue reading as we take a closer look below!
Okay….but can REAL Resveratrol be purchased online? Don’t you have to buy that from a doctor?
The truth? Yes…and no! First of all, no doctor is going to be selling “pure” resvertarol, as – as of THIS writing, I’m unfamiliar of any pharmaceutical grade product yet on the market. What you find online (and in some doctor’s offices) is a nutracutical Resveratrol supplement. These are typically manufactured and distributed by health and wellness companies, and their affiliates. (especially online) Many of these products are really good – and have very high satisfaction ratio’s amongst their users, and I count myself amongst them!
So there is NO pharmaceutical grade Resveratrol being sold? (i.e. – by the BIG Pharma companies?)
No. Not that I know of, and not yet. But trust me, there WILL be. And soon. And most likely…they will be prohibitively expensive, and will generate controversy, like always! Most believe there will be an assortment of these rez based drugs on the market within 5 years, as science embraces the potent anti-aging benefits it seemingly brings to bear.
Okay….but then what should I avoid? How do I NOT make a bad choice when buying Resveratrol?
The truth? Stay away from companies who make outrageous claims. Stay away from offers that “splash” celebrity faces and endorsements all over their sales pages. Look for real supporting facts, and science on their web sites and their sales copy. And simply trust your gut! Find offers that appeal to you, make sense and seem like a good deal! (That’s what we do….and it works GREAT for most of our regular readers as well!)

Thomas Leonard asked:
If you happen to have recently heard the word resveratrol and wondered what it is, then hopefully this article will give you an insight into this supplement and explain the benefits being attributed to it.
Resveratrol is a natural substance and a highly potent antioxidant found in the skins of red grapes, mulberries, peanuts and Japanese knotweed. To date one of the main forms in which we consume resveratrol is through red wine. Drinking red wine was attributed as one reason why the French people despite a high fat diet and high consumption of wine had a remarkable low incidence of heart disease when compared with people from other nations.
What Scientists discovered is that resveratrol activities a gene called SIRT1, which produces protein that protects cells from inflammation and oxidative stress, two of the prime causes of premature aging and degenerative diseases. This gene works to break down stored fat in the body. The scientists also believe that the health benefits from taking resveratrol are many. Such benefits being investigated are its potential to be a treatment for Alzheimer’s, Cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases and Diabetes. Other benefits been considered is its potential to increase longevity, enhance athletic performance and help weight loss.
In today’s world where we would all desire perfect health and a fit looking bodies, resveratrol may just be the ticket. I appreciate that you may ask can one product be so powerful. Well we hope the scientists are correct and that all the claims to date which have resulted from tests on rodents will be equally successful in human trials. Many clinical trials are underway and you can view such trials on the clinicaltrials.gov website.
In the case of Alzheimer’s, the scientists suggest that resveratrol is effective in protecting the brain from free radicals and oxidized fats which kill brain cells, resulting in the decline of mental function associated this disease. For cancer, its ability to prevent DNA damage and destroy cancer cells at all stages of development, make it extremely effective.
If you are wondering where you can buy this product, always look at the concentration of the product as well as the price and the type of resveratrol. There is a Trans version and a Cis version. The Trans is the one to select. Select the product based on the concentration of Trans resveratrol per capsule. Some products may appear cheap but may only contain 5-10% of the 50% purity level.

Sheeba Benjamin Benju asked:
People usually know the common benefits of Resveratrol but the benefits of this wonderful supplement are far away from that we have heard. The most people know that the Resveratrol is present in the red wine and it is extracted from the skin of red grapes but they do not know the exact health benefits. The recent study revealed that the Resveratrol helps people in increasing their memory and sharp thinking. There are numerous benefits of Resveratrol, as all the benefits are difficult to describe but the major and foremost benefits are described below.
Life Extending Nature of Resveratrol
The latest study revealed that the regular use of Resveratrol activates the hormone called ‘longevity’ which is helpful in providing healthy life. It acts as anti inflammatory and lowered the risks of sugar levels, cardiovascular hazards and even cancer.
Anti – Oxidant Benefits
There are several things like pollution, dust, sunlight, humidity and many more things that can destroy the healthy cells in the body. The main task of these anti oxidants is to provide a protective layer to avoid the harmful effects of these things. All these pollutants destroy the aging cells and thus make the skin look wrinkled and leathery. Resveratrol acts as defensive supplement which restricts the skin cells to grow and provide a healthy and wrinkle free skin. Vitamin E and C are called strongest anti oxidants but Resveratrol is far stronger from these vitamins.
Resveratrol as Anti Cancer
It has an amazing anti cancer attributes. Researchers have revealed that Resveratrol really help the people in reducing the death tolls caused due to cancer or tumors. The consumption of Resveratrol help in reducing the effects of various cancer types like breast cancer, esophageal, ovary, skin, prostate, cervix and lung cancer.
Healthy Digestive System
Researchers believe that consumption of Resveratrol help in good digestion as it inhibits the growth of bacteria in digestive system. The main culprit that causes several stomach problems is Helicobacter Pylori commonly known as H.Pylori. Resveratrol help in reducing the growth of this bacterial hazard.
More Benefits of Resveratrol
There are many benefits of having Resveratrol with the regular diet. It helps the body to operate smoothly and efficiently. It is very beneficial for the Alzheimer’s patient as it increases the activity of brain. It protects the blood vessels and reduces the chances of blockage. Several sports professionals recommend the use of Resveratrol in diet as it increases the efficiency and re vitalizes the body.

Denny X Bowman asked:
Resveratrol extracted from the Chinese plant Polygonum cuspidatum, delivers the natural balance of all active parts. This supplement has forceful antioxidants that help cut and even stop the formation of free radicals. As grapes are used for making, wines also contain this compound, especially red wine. It has certain special properties such as contra-aging, anti-cancer, cardio health and energy boosting properties. It has also been proven to have anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti inflammatory, weight plotting, blood pressure and blood sugar controlling properties
There were no reports on Resveratrol side effects; further studies on humans must be conducted to confirm correct dozes of extract. Resveratol is present in stems, leaves, and the skin of grapes. It’s also present in purple grape juice, red or purple grapes, and peanuts. The fermenting process in red wine raises the level of Resveratol in red wine. Red wine has 3 times much Resveratrol then grape juice.
Taking Resveratrol in a supplement form seems to be a much wiser choice to get its benefits without the damaging negative effects of drinking alcohol.
The greatest danger of Resveratrol side effects comes from fillers or other products added to this supplement. Chemical products are famous for their side effect that’s why people prefer natural and herbal treatments. Acai berry and Resveratrol are thought to be the best natural weight reduction supplements available these days.
Resveratrol is a plant antioxidant. Plants create a spread of antioxidants to guard themselves from illness, UV radiation and even insects. Resveratrol is present in a variety of plants, in minute amounts, but certain types of grape skins contain the highest amount. The highest concentration is present in Spanish red wines, because they’re fermented along with the skins for a longer period of time. Due to these 2 properties, they help you shed fat faster than you ordinarily can. By having your appetite suppressed, you naturally cut back on your meal in take that means fewer calories enter your body. Lastly, your metabolism speeds up and your body breaks down calories faster than normal.
It is valuable to ensure that the type is the “trans” form. Also, check the strength.
When searching for a weight loss supplement, you need to find one that’s all natural. Supplements that contain Resveratrol and Acai berry will work completely into the weight loss program for any one looking for steady and quick weight loss without any side effects. This is the reason why it is important to be sure that the supplement you choose is 100% natural and contains no additions or fillers.
If you prefer the choice of wellness, Resveratrol and Green tea extract for fat burner is a great addition. Fill your system with healthy and alert cells that may make you prepared in facing another challenging day. The effect of this supplement isn’t just on weight reduction rather it is more for the health benefits. This is truly one of the natural products that cleanse the body from dangerous toxins and fats. Consumers are suggested to take one capsule a day.

John Blaisdale asked:
By now you’ve probably heard of resveratrol and all that it has to offer in terms of extraordinary health benefits. One health benefit in particular is resveratrol’s ability to act as a natural aid to weight loss. This is what is being advertised anyway. However, as you know sometimes what is advertised isn’t always what you can expect from a product especially when concerning the weight loss industry.
This is why I have decided to write and in depth article for you explaining the science behind resveratrol and weight loss (don’t worry, I won’t bore you). So, if you really do want to know if there is anything to this natural supplement and its ability to aid fat loss then keep on reading. You might just be startled by what I’ve discovered through my extensive research…
Is There Anything To Resveratrol And Weight Loss?
You came to this article in hopes of finding out more about this natural supplement and its ability to aid in fat loss so I’m going to give you exactly what you want. In this section I’ll be giving a little background knowledge about this supplement which may or may not prove its effectiveness in terms of a fat loss aid.
I am happy to report that this natural aid is in fact effective in terms of losing weight. How do I know? Well, though my research I have found that there have actually been clinical studies done on resveratrol and its effects on weight loss and general health. In these studies it was found that resveratrol produced many health benefits including anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, blood-sugar-lowering and many other cardiovascular effects.
As you can see, this natural aid is the real deal when it comes to delivering many exciting health benefits. However, even knowing resveratrol’s ability to produce these health benefits we still don’t know exactly how it can help us lose weight. Ok, let me be a bit more specific. You don’t know how it can help with the weight loss process. I do. Keep on reading to see what I found out…
This Is How Resveratrol Helps You Lose Weight…
As I mentioned in the previous section, this organic supplement offers a ton of benefits in terms of health and well being. However, I also said that this still fails to explain how it can be used for weight loss purposes. And this is exactly what I’ll be covering in this section. Below you’ll find an easy to read list of the characteristics of resveratrol which make it a perfect candidate for a weight loss aid.
1) Increased Metabolism
The first way in which this organic supplement can help you lose those pounds is by speeding up your metabolism. If you don’t already know, metabolism plays a HUGE role in determining your overall weight loss success. A faster metabolism means that your body is processing and breaking anything you consume at a fast rate. Basically, you metabolism dictates how much energy and fat your body burns while you aren’t doing anything.
2) Increased Energy Levels
The second way in which resveratrol helps with weight loss is by increasing your energy levels. By taking this organic aid you will be left feeling much more energized and ready do more. While this can help the most with exercise it can also help tremendously with your overall lifestyle. If you aren’t feeling energized then you aren’t going to be willing to do much of anything. You know what I am talking about, that feeling of “bla”.
3) Appetite Suppressant
The last important characteristic which helps make resveratrol and perfect solution for weight loss is its ability to suppress your appetite. Appetite suppressants have been around for years and to this day remain to be one of the best natural weight loss supplements. Why? Because by curbing your appetite you will be a lot less likely to binge. Even better, you are going to eat less in general which means you will be consuming less calories in general.
Why Use Resveratrol For Weight Loss?
If you’ve read everything up until this point then I’m sure you can see why this organic supplement is an overall excellent option for increasing your health and well being. Seriously, there are very few health products available that offer as many benefits as this one.
With that said, if you do plan on purchasing this health supplement then I recommend you find a reliable guide before doing so. What I mean by a guide is a resource that takes you by the hand and makes purchasing the best product possible as easy as possible.

Ron J Myers asked:
In the last few years, resveratrol has been been hyped as a near miracle substance for promoting health. Because of the hype, resveratrol supplements have become extremely popular. That popularity has caused a dramatic increase in resveratrol supplement sales as many people believe that resveratrol is the fountain of youth. But, is resveratrol the miracle substance that its proponents claim?
Resveratol was first discovered in 1940 when it was first isolated in the white hellebore plant. Until the early 1990’s, resveratrol went largely unnoticed, until scientist suspected that it might be the answer to the “French Paradox”. The “French Paradox” is the name given to the fact that the French have very low rates of heart disease, despite the fact that the typical French diet is very high in fat. At first, many scientist were at a loss to explain the “French Paradox”. As they began to analyze French dietary habits, scientist believed that red wine was the answer to the “French Paradox”. Since they believed that red wine saved the French from high rates of heart disease, scientist began to examine red wine more closely. Upon analyzing the chemical makeup of red wine, many scientist began to suspect that resveratrol was the key compound in red wine that saved the French from high rates of heart disease.
Since scientist first hypothesized that it was the explanation to the “French Paradox”, research into reseveratrol has continued. Much of the research has seemed to be very promising. But, what people must understand is that no reseveratrol research has been conducted on humans. At present, all the resveratrol research has been done on animals. Until research is done humans, no defininitive statements about the health promoting effects of resveratrol can be made. However, based on research done on animals, it is reasonable to hope that resveratrol will indeed be the fountain of youth that many people claim it to be.
In several studies done on animals, resveratrol has shown some remarkable properties. In 2003, Dr. David Sinclair found that resveratrol significantly increased the life span of both fruit flies and particular strains of yeast. In another study, resveratrol was shown to protect a group of mice from the ill health effects of obesity as a result of being fed a high fat diet. Other studies have shown that resveratrol helps to neutralize cancer cells and to fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
For those with weight issues and those with heart disease, the most exciting resveratrol reseach maybe the study that was conducted in Germany at the University of Ulm in 2008. In that study, two groups of human fat cells were analyzed. The first group was exposed to resveratrol. The second group was not. In the first group, the study found that the number of pre-fat cells decreased between 40 to 45 percent. In the second group, pre-fat cells more than doubled. In addition, it was found that the first group lost volume, effectively “slimming down” because of the exposure to resveratrol. The study at the University of Ulm tends to support the hypothesis that resveratrol is the answer to the “French Paradox”.
Currently, many scientist believe that resveratrol produces a similar effect to calorie restricted diets. Current research shows that calorie restricted diets prolong life. Calorie restricted diets stimulate the secretion of sirtuin. Sirtuin helps to metabolize fat. At present, many scientist believe that resveratrol also promotes the secretion of sirtuin, thus having an effect similar to calorie restricted diets. Research is still being done in this area.
At present, there is no hard proof that resveratrol supplements are beneficial to humans. However, preliminary research does give cause to believe that reseveratrol will be proven to be a substance beneficial to human health. In fact, there are some doctors who do, at present, recommend resveratrol supplements to their patients. Furthermore, there is no evidence that resveratrol supplements are harmful to humans.
In sum, buy resveratrol supplements if you want to. There is a good chance that you will benefit from taking them. But, understand that there is no definitive research that proves the health benefits of resveratrol, although preliminary research seems to be very promising.

Lee M Chan asked:
A small percentage of the population is experiencing a strange phenomenon. They start consuming Resveratrol supplements, but refrain from continuing the process because they start experiencing diarrhea. In fact, there are some reports that indicate that some were hospitalized due to this factor. Any ways, what is the relationship between Resveratrol and diarrhea? The same will be seen in the following passages. Bear in mind that anything when consumed in excess will start inducing adverse effects on the body. The same is one of the major causes for diarrhea, please read and understand the concepts.
Have you ever wondered about the manufacturing techniques that are employed for bulk production of Resveratrol? Start researching into this paradigm and the answers will slowly start materializing ahead. There are two primary sources for Resveratrol – they are grapes and Japanese knotweed. The concentration of this alkaloid is extremely high for the knotweeds in comparison to the grapes. Hence, most of the manufactures use the same vegetation for bulk production of healthcare supplements. Later, you will realize that Resveratrol that is derived from knotweed induces diarrhea rather than the supplements derived from grapes.
Is there some element present within knotweeds that induce diarrhea on the commoners? Researchers started pondering over the same query and finally realized that these weeds contain something that can be loosely termed as emodin. Emodin is an alkaloid that is commonly used as a laxative (but in an ulterior manner). Given 100mg of Resveratrol, it has been found that approximately 10 to 15 percent of emodin can be found on it. When people consume the Resveratrol supplements that have been manufactured from Japanese knotweed, they start experiencing all these kinds of troubles. Is there any method that is prevalent (and commonly employed by the manufacturers) to control the emodin concentration?
Actually, there are – you can be happy on that account. Reputed manufacturers are noted to employ filtration systems to isolate emodin from the Resveratrol extract. This is a complicated procedure and only those companies who truly value their customers induce such strategies. In simpler terms, always look out for the concentration of theemodin alkaloids before investing on a Resveratrol supplement. I do realize the taxing nature, but if you do not wish to spend more time in your bathroom, please exercise caution the next time. In fact, the measure of emodin embodies the production standards of a particular manufacturer.
If you do not wish to experience the same, you will have to opt for pricier Resveratrol supplements. These are often manufactured from grapes. Alternatively, you can spend some time researching over the wines – red wine is a good natural source of the same alkaloid. The internet is your best friend on these matters, and you will come across ample knowledge on many web portals maintained by physicians and researchers. The next you experience diarrhea, you know what exacti is to be done. Best of luck and please keep us posted with your experiences – it will be beneficial for the others, also.

Eppic Smith asked:
Red wine has long been considered to be heart healthy. The alcohol in it and Resveratrol antioxidants help prevent heart disease by increasing levels of HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol) and protecting the arteries against damage. Resveratrol is a key ingredient in red wine that helps prevent damage to blood vessels, reduces “bad” cholesterol and prevents blood clots.
For those who already enjoy a glass of red wine during diner, this is great news. But of course doctors do not encourage anyone to start drinking alcohol simply for a few benefits. We all know that too much alcohol can have many harmful effects.
Although there is still a lot to be learned about Resveratrol, doctors agree that it helps your heart in many different ways. Researchers have found that the antioxidants such as flavonoids in Resveratrol have promising heart health benefits.
The Resveratrol studies show that the antioxidants called polyphenols help protect the lining of blood vessels in your heart. These antioxidants come in two main forms: flavonoids and nonflavonoids.
Flavonoids are found in a variety of fruits and vegetables such as oranges, grape juice, apples, onions, tea and cocoa. Other types of alcohol, such as white wine and beer, contain small amounts, too, but red wine has higher levels because the grape skins used in making red wine have high amounts of Resveratrol.
Nonflavonoids found in red wine and Resveratrol and have recently been of particular interest because they help prevent arteries from becoming clogged with fatty blockages and cholesterol. Resveratrol is the nonflavonoid that’s received the most attention from researchers.
Recent studies have indicated that Resveratrol antioxidants also help protect from obesity and diabetes, both of which are strong risk factors for heart disease. This is one of the main reasons that Resveratrol has been called the anti-aging miracle.
Research also shows that Resveratrol is linked to a reduced risk of inflammation and blood clotting, both of which can lead to heart disease. Research into the potential heart-health benefits of Resveratrol is continuing at a growing rate. More and more benefits are being found all the time.
With many benefits and ever more promising studies, Resveratrol is taking the country by storm. Millions of people are starting to enjoy the life enhancing anti-aging and weight loss benefits of the new wonder supplement Resveratrol.

Dan R Morris asked:
Resveratrol: red grapes have lots of resveratrol. But so do green grapes, peanuts, blueberries, mulberries, cranberries and a strange plant called Japanese knotweed. But what you really want to know is where is the resveratrol? Is it in the skin, the pulp, the seeds or the branches of red grapes?
If I just say “the skins”, does that make you want to stop reading now that you have your answer? Because you’ll be much better off if you understand why resveratrol is found in the skins. Plus, you’ll learn the difference between white wine resveratrol and red wine resveratrol – and maybe which are the best grapes to buy.
So, the resveratrol is found in the skin of red and green grapes (and those other berries and plants mentioned above). But do you know why it is found in the skin? Melanin is found in our skin because it helps to protect our skin from the harmful rays of the sun. Resveratrol is not that much different for grapes. It is found in the skin because it is kind of like an antibiotic for the plant.
When a grape plant comes under great distress from fungus or disease or climate, the grape produces resveratrol in the skin. This is kind of a self-defense mechanism. Since the seed of the grape plant is in the middle of the grape, the resveratrol helps protect the grape so that the seed can mature and produce new grape plants. Resveratrol is like the over-protective father of the grape plant.
So to get back to the bonuses I promised, white wine doesn’t have resveratrol in it; whereas, red wine has plenty. That’s because white wine dismisses the grape skins during production and red wine uses the grape skin during the fermentation.

Theophile Ndabu asked:
Our skin and physical appearance change as we grow old. We can’t control the aging process no matter how hard we try but we can still look young through the use of antioxidants. The process of antioxidant helps an individual to stay fit, healthy, and look young.
There are a lot of anti-aging products that have been discovered nowadays and most of them are now available for purchase in the market as well as on the internet. One of the products that have the highest antioxidant compound is the red wine, which is rich in resveratrol. Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant compound and has the potential of improving our estrogen hormone and enhances the neuroendocrine system of our body.
Red wine may be rich in resveratrol no matter what kind it is: whether it be a merlot or cabernet sauvignon the cost of every bottle can be very expensive. However, a brand that has the same content of resveratrol as the red wine has been developed and is now also available on the internet.
Resver has the ingredients of pure resveratrol content. The product will not only benefit its users by maintaining their younger image but also help them lose weight. Once you try the product you will experience a sudden change in your skin. It will become more radiant because it tightens the skin and lessens its wrinkles. You will also feel more energized every day and will gain a slimmer body.
Another advantage of the product is that it is less expensive compared to a bottle of red wine. The product can only be purchased online and offers a great deal to their customers. Speaking in terms of price though it all depends on what is more important to you. If you have enough money then go ahead and splurge on red wine.

Frank Zhang asked:
In recent years, scientists have spent a great deal of time and resources studying the basic map of the human body. With this new understanding of our genetic building blocks, there has also been an increased interest in how the body heals itself on a cellular level. Antioxidants are the body’s natural healing compounds and are found in many plants and foods. Scientists have recently discovered that red wine naturally contains high levels of the antioxidant resveratrol. However, for years, knotweed resveratrol has been the standard source and the substance is also found in the plant hellebore. Other foods, including cranberries, blueberries and peanuts, contain lower levels of the substance.
While red wine is the most glamorous source of the healing compound, knotweed has been a more consistent and reliable foundation for the supplement for many years. The simplest reason is that knotweed resveratrol is cheaper to produce. The knotweed plant is adaptable to almost any soil condition and growing environment. In fact, in many parts of the world, the plant is so hardy that it is considered an invasive weed. The plant spreads through its extensive root system and is extremely easy and cheap to grow. Also, the plant has a much higher concentration of resveratrol. Levels of the substance are measured in milligrams per liter or kilogram, depending on whether the delivery method is a liquid or solid form. In red wine, the highest levels are about 12.5 mg per liter. Knotweed resveratrol, however, touts an impressive 187 mg/kg of dried root. This, in combination with the fact that the plant is so easy to grow, makes it the most common choice for supplement manufacturers.
When you are looking to increase your antioxidant levels, it’s important to understand that the source or delivery method has no impact on the actual resveratrol levels. Resveratrol is a chemical found in nature and it doesn’t change based upon the natural source. If you enjoy a glass of red wine occasionally, you can certainly benefit from the healing properties. However, if you are a teetotaller, knotweed resveratrol is a perfectly suitable alternative and in fact, may even provide more concentrated healing power. Most commercial resveratrol supplements are made with knotweed. As with any supplement, it’s important to use a trusted manufacturer and always double check the labels to make sure that you are getting what you expect.

Darren W Chow asked:
The fountain of youth…ever since the sixteenth century explorer Juan Ponce de Leon set out to find it mankind has been fascinated by the possibility that there exists a chance to retard the aging process. Nowadays, people look to anti-aging supplements to help fight back the rigors of growing older, but how do you know what does and doesn’t work?
You have to be careful, because anti-aging supplements can be very costly, and since many have no guarantee they even do what they say they can do, there is always the possibility you could be throwing your money away. And if you have checked the prices on anti-aging products, you understand that can be a lot.
It is important that before you set out to buy, you listen to what others who have used the product are saying. Research is a necessity, and luckily, it is out there waiting for you to find it. With a product like ResV Pure, you do not have to look far.
Featured on 60 Minutes, Fox News Channel, CNN, Oprah, and the Rachel Ray Show, ResV Pure is earning its reputation as the anti-aging supplement that works, because it uses the active ingredient of Resveratrol. Resveratrol is a substance found primarily in red wine that has been proven to lengthen and strengthen the lives of subjects in clinical testing. While most tests have been conducted on lab mice, human experiments are under way.
What kind of results can we expect?
Well, if the lab tests are any indication, we could live 30 percent longer than the average life expectancy. That is a huge difference! There are over 80,000 people in the United States alone, who are over the age of one hundred. The experiments suggest that number to grow exponentially in the years ahead, and offer encouragement to the baby boomer generation, or anyone who wants to look younger and feel better.
That’s right. ResV Pure is not designed to simply change your outward appearance, but it is also there to make you feel better on the inside. Featuring omega 3 fatty acids that are difficult to pick up in your daily diet – substances with anti-oxidant effects found in fish, nuts, and certain oils – you can take charge of your metabolism, have more energy, and build more muscle.
Fight nutritional and genetic diseases, such as diabetes and Alzheimer’s, respectively. You do not necessarily have to be a slave to your family health history. With ResV Pure, you get everything you need to stay ahead of the aging process.
And best of all, these ingredients contain no known side effects that would discourage you from giving them a try and reaching your full potential. This is really encouraging, because, let’s face it, our bodies are not the same, and thus do not always get the same results. It helps to know that even if you do not get as much out of ResV Pure as someone else, you do not run any health risks for giving it a try. Neither do you risk any money, as a free trial is available. Visit our site for more information or to get signed up today.
Look younger. Feel better. Perhaps the fountain of youth is not a place.

Martin Loader asked:
Where can I buy resveratrol supplements? That is a good question, but it is a simple one to answer.
The three top places are:-
1. On the internet
2. From your local store
3. From various publications
For the purpose of this article, and the question of where can I buy resveratrol? The best option is without doubt, from the internet.
Don’t be put off with the fear of scams or doom merchants who will always put things down that they nothing about. As long as you take care with your selection of resveratrol supplements, and where you buy them from, you will have no problem.
The top reasons why the internet is the best answer to your question of where can I buy resveratrol are as follows:-
1. There are dozens of different resveratrol supplements to choose from so you can select the one that best suits you needs. eg If you want to lose weight, you can buy resveratrol supplements that have added extracts such as acai and green tea. A powerful triple weight reduction combination.
2. You have all the information on various products that you need, right there at your fingertips.
3. There are many different ranges of price, so you can buy the ones that best suit your pocket.
4. Most resveratrol companies will offer a free trial maybe for 10 days and some up to 3 weeks. This is great to see if you feel any benefits.
5. If after your trial, you choose to carry on with the course, your resveratrol will be delivered to your door every month.
If you buy your resveratrol supplements from the internet, the free trial is a great introduction to their benefits. Of course, you wont notice any difference from the long term benefits such as weight loss, longer life or less risk of heart disease yet, but you could, depending on your metabolism, start to feel more energetic, feel more focused and have better skin. Everyone is different.
So, where can I buy resveratrol supplements? My answer is from the internet. However, wherever you buy them from, you will be taking a supplement that has so many health benefits, and I am sure that the true power of resveratrol is yet to be discovered.

Jeffrey Rayton asked:
Resveratrol is found naturally in food products, plant products to be specific. It is a chemical that the plant releases when it is injured or sick. This chemical is phytoaxelin that is produced by plants to ward off disease and repair injured sections of the plants.
There has been some studies involving small rodents that have indicated that this substance can lower blood sugar, lower blood pressure is an anti cancer compound and has other positive cardiovascular effects. Most of these results have yet to be proven in human subjects. There have been studies with fruit flies and short lived fish, where the chemical has extended the life cycle in each, this has not been replicated in mice. It has also been used in studies involving diabetic rats, over a period of thirty days the diabetic rats were given Resveratrol supplements and their blood sugars were markedly reduced, again this has yet to be duplicated in humans.
As with any new wonder drug, these supplements is widely available. They can be found through a host of vendors. These supplements can be found in most vitamin shops, drug stores, and discount warehouse stores and through online vendors.
There is a lot of hype regarding being able to purchase this online. These supplements can be purchased from many online vendors, many of them offering “free trial periods” — this of course does not come without a catch. Some of these companies offer a free trial period than also offer a service of automatic shipments each month. This may seem like a convenient alternative but the reality is some of these companies are not exactly honest and getting them to stop sending them may be no easy feat. There have been reports of the attorney general’s in various states having to get involved to get these companies to release people from being charged.
Avoid products that are called proprietary blends. Resveratrol supplements can add to heart health and may result in other health benefits. Using them just may be the fountain of youth, but only time and further testing will tell.

Mark Juliano asked:
Obesity, Weight Control, Longevity and Resveratrol
Obesity has been termed an “epidemic” of staggering proportions by many doctors, scientists, scholars, and sociologists. Its complications are now seen by many as being the leading cause of death in America and many other industrialized nations.
A growing number of Americans are obese …
According to the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) – More than 33% of U.S. adults – more than 72 million people – and 16% of U.S. children are obese. Since 1980, obesity rates for adults have doubled and rates for children have tripled. Obesity rates among all groups in society – irrespective of age, sex, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, education level, or geographic region – have increased markedly.
The term obesity is clinically defined based upon a scale that closely correlates with body fat and metabolism called the Body Mass Index, which is calculated based upon height and weight. Â
Costs are skyrocketing …
In 2000, obesity-related health care costs totaled an estimated $117 billion. From 1980 to 1998, annual hospital costs related to obesity among children and adolescents rose from $35 million to $127 million.
And most startling…
“If this trend continues, the current generation of American children may be the first generation with a shorter lifespan than their parents,” according to Priya C. Stephen, M.D. at Princeton HealthCare System.
Obesity Has Serious Health Consequences …
A wide range of illnesses and complications have been partially attributed to obesity including:
* Heart disease Â
* Type 2 diabetes
* Cancer (endometrial, breast, and colon)
* Hypertension (high blood pressure)
* High cholesterol
* Stroke
* Liver and gallbladder disease
* Respiratory problems
* Osteoarthritis (degeneration of cartilage and bone)
What Causes Obesity?
The determinants of obesity in the United States are complex, numerous, and operate at all social, economic, environmental, psychological and physiological levels. American society has become characterized by environments that promote increased food intake, non-healthful foods, and physical inactivity.
You Are What You Eat …
The book Fast Food Nation, and movie Supersize Me, as well as countless articles, studies and reports all point to a growing propensity among people to, frankly, eat foods that are not good for them such as hot dogs, French fries, cookies, crackers, processed foods and foods containing trans fats. Not to mention that many people simply eat too much and consume too many calories (and exercise too little).
Scientists Study Obese Mice
In 2006, Dr. Joseph Baur and Dr. David Sinclair reported their findings in a seminal paper in Nature magazine. They tested over 20,000 compounds and identified nineteen (19) compounds that activate so-called “survival genes”, seventeen (17) of which are polyphenols found in red wine grapes, including Resveratrol, Quercetin, and Catechin. These compounds were found to activate sirtuin (SIRT) genes when ingested by mice.
Using the leading SIRT-activator, Resveratrol, these scientists performed survival gene studies on mice, which produced two startling results: 1) overall lifespan was extended between 20 – 50%, and 2) mice fed a high-calorie diet (obese mice) lived as long as normal mice, and the incidence of age-related diseases was dramatically lowered compared to those mice not taking Resveratrol.
Resveratrol – the Fountain of Youth and Weight Loss?
Resveratrol, and other red wine grape polyphenols, have been shown to increase metabolic activity, which can go a long way towards helping people lose weight, and maintain a healthy weight. When SIRT genes are activated, weight gain seems to be prevented, even when a high fat diet is being consumed, by inhibiting fat storage. Resveratrol has also been shown to reduce the number of fat cells in laboratory mice in several studies. When the body is storing fewer fat cells, the aging process can also be slowed by reducing age and obesity related conditions and diseases.
Research findings from the University of Ulm (Germany) concluded that Resveratrol holds promise in the treatment of obesity and obesity related disorders such as diabetes and clogged coronary arteries.
So, Should We All Live “Fat and Happy” Lives and Just Take Resveratrol and Drink Red Wine?
In a word, no! It still makes sense to eat the right foods, eat the right amount of foods, maintain a healthy weight, and exercise. But Resveratrol and red wine grape polyphenols may help those, who for whatever reasons, have difficulty controlling their weigh, live longer, and live longer healthier.

Janet Elizabeth Pierce asked:
Would you like to ensure a long life, good skin, strengthened immunity, boosted energy levels and anti-aging benefits for yourself? Choosing the best resveratrol supplement could then help you out perfectly in actualizing your goals and that too without having to pay a single penny from your pocket. Here is how you can get hold of the best resveratrol supplements for yourself- and that too with zero costs involved:
1. Sign Up For At Least Three Trial Offers
There are plenty of free resveratrol trial packs available at both online as well as offline sources. While opting for these is beyond doubt a good way to enjoy the supplement’s anti-aging benefits without having to pay for their huge prices, I would suggest that even with the trials, you should ideally check out at least three different brands. Since all supplements are not equally effective and suited to all needs, trying out different variants would give you a clear picture of what is the most appropriate for you. And as long as you are getting it for free, there should be no problem from your end at all.
2. Ascertain That You Get Pill-Based Supplements
As is the case with all popular products, you would find resveratrol in a wide variety of supplement forms once you step out to buy it. But let me warn you that the best resveratrol is going to be the one that is passed on to you in the form of pills which are enteric coated. Powder and liquid forms degrade under the influences of light, heat and air and trans-resveratrol in them isomerizes into ineffective cis-resveratrol form. Be sure of not compromising upon this aspect then even while opting for free packs as the results you reap directly depend on the form that you consume.
3. Weed Out Untrustworthy Sources From The Genuine Ones
Free trial offers warrant for easy-on-pocket deals but lately several scams have been reported in the segment too. So while choosing the best resveratrol supplements available for free, you could come across a lot of unscrupulous business owners coming out of the woodwork to take your money. Be certain of weeding these out beforehand then. Gathering enough product knowledge through extensive research and carefully examining the offer terms in advance would help greatly in getting hold of the best resveratrol through the most genuine sources.
4. Do Not Get Swayed By Lofty Claims
While looking for the free supplements you would come across several claims regarding their potential but unfortunately not all that you hear would be true. There would be exaggerations and blown-up accounts for sure and so it would be in your favor to not get carried away by these. Simply hold the ground and expect nothing beyond the real. Something that offers cure for cancers or challenges to cut down 20 years from your age would better be stayed off from as that would not save you money but rather make you lose out on it.
Following these sincere suggestions would definitely help you get hold of the best resveratrol supplements and that too without the burden of your having to pay for it. Wait no longer then and get set to reinvent your health with the wonder potion for free.

Mark Juliano asked:
Curious about why resveratrol is all over the news and advertisements recently? Well, stories of the marvelous benefits of resveratrol can still take the oblivious by surprise. Need to discover more? Just browse through this.
Health BenefitsÂ
One significant health benefit that has been associated to resveratrol is its ability to fight off free radicals. And building up of too many free radicals can result in illness as it’s their nature to damage your cellular macromolecules and DNA. Cancer and high cholesterol are just unlikable effects of free radicals.Â
People accumulate free radicals in cigarette smoke, radiation, ultra violet light, drugs, pesticides, anesthetics, and other environmental pollutants. And antioxidants are quite beneficial to fight off such elements. When your body does not produce enough natural antioxidants, oxidative stress can occur, causing damage to all of the body cells. Fortunately, resveratrol is one good source of natural antioxidants.Â
More importantly, the stimulation of this gene also appears to help slow down the aging process. Although further study is needed to prove this, many people affirm the anti-aging profits of resveratrol in their diets.
SourcesÂ
The most common and quite popular sources of resveratrol are in red wines and grapes. As there are minute quantities of antioxidant also found in peanuts, they are not used in supplementary applications. Instead, the Japanese knotweed plant is the most usual source of resveratrol extracts for dietary supplements. On the other hand, some people simply drink a glass of red wine daily in order to enjoy the benefits of this popular compound.
However, keep in mind that taking resveratrol supplements provides more efficient benefits than consuming hundreds of bottles of red wine. Supplements are still the best way to take advantage of the health offers of resveratrol.

Lee M Chan asked:
A good thing to check out for resveratrol is that fact that there are all sorts of different types of supplements on the market that deal with this material. Resveratrol supplements can work to help promote this material in the body in many ways. Here are some things to see with these supplements.
What happens here is that a supplement will work with a certain amount of resveratrol. This comes from materials found in foods that contain resveratrol. The most dominant of these foods is grapes.
Some of these supplements will have red wine extracts in them. This is especially important when it comes to getting the most potent type of resveratrol. After all, the well fermented grapes in red wine can work with greater levels of resveratrol than that of other types of foods.
This is especially useful for those who are not able to handle red wine. Although red wine is noted for being useful for those who need resveratrol it is not recommended for all people. It can impair the liver in many cases and can be dangerous to those with weak hearts. The use of supplements instead of red wine can be very helpful.
Resveratrol will work in a pill or extract format. In many cases softgel pills that can be easier for the body to absorb can be used. This comes from how a gel like this is one that is made with fewer hard materials. A softer form like this can get into the blood at a faster rate.
For different dietary needs a number of concentrations of resveratrol can be used in different supplements. Some supplements can work at sizes of about fifty milligrams for each pill. Others can work with levels as high as 250 milligrams.
It will be important to note that many of these supplements are not fully supported by the Food and Drug Administration. This comes from how even though resveratrol has been found to have all sorts of benefits the FDA has not officially recognized resveratrol as a fully functional material for health purposes.
Resveratrol supplements can be helpful for anyone who needs resveratrol. This includes people that may not be able to handle red wine. Resveratrol can work with red wine extracts and can be easy to handle. This comes from how these materials can be made with contents that make it easier for this material to get into the blood.

Jules Jordon asked:
Resveratrol reviews are everywhere and if you’re looking for some help trying to decide which resveratrol supplement to go for, then you need to understand what you need to look for when searching the numerous reviews online.
What is Resveratrol?
Resveratrol is a beneficial hormone like chemical that is found in grapes, peanuts and many of our plants. In plants Resveratrol is formed to protect the plant from aging and diseases. Scientists have discovered through trials that enough Resveratrol can help fight off many diseases and conditions as well as reverse thre aging process.
Decide What You Want the Supplement For
Resveratrol is so diverse that it can be used for a variety of conditions and diseases. From cancer, to diabetes, to cholesterol control, to anti-aging and weight loss and colon cleanse. The various supplements out there are mind boggling. So decide which condition or disease you want to control and go from there.
Make Sure it is Authentic Resveratrol
As with any product that springs up over night and people see various ways to make money from it, many of the ’supplements’ that you will find online do not contain genuine resveratrol extracts. So make sure that you buy from genuine websites and the supplements come with money back guarantees.
At the end of the day, when you read the Resveratrol reviews around the net, the decision is yours and yours alone. Do your due diligence and make sure that you’re clear about what you are reading and if you decide to opt for any recommended supplement, that you clearly understand how the supplement works and how it can help you with your goals.

Tina Bardo asked:
Is Resveratrol healthy? Can it reduce the risk of disease? How about the weight loss and anti-aging claims I hear so much about? Are they authentic? In this article we are going to take a quick and insightful look at some of the documented benefits that Resveratrol seems to offer to just about every species of life it’s been tested on! (and that goes for everything from YEAST…….to human beings..:-) Curious to know more? Great….continue reading as we take a closer look below!
Very exciting stuff! Resveratrol has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer in both human and animal test tube trials including breast, colon, prostate, stomach and other cancers. While extensive trials are now underway, whether or not Resveratrol can be administered in high enough levels to emulate the same effect as those gotten in the test tubes remains the biggest challenge in scaling UP the amazing results gotten in the lab!
Filed Under: Resveratrol and Heart Disease
The original source of interest in the study of transresveratrol came from what has been called the “french paradox”. The French were known for high calorie, high cigarette and fat intake on a daily basis…YET, have very low levels of obesity, and cardiovascular disease. The red wine levels of both Resveratrol and other flavonoids are thought to be anti-inflammatory, AND have additional inhibiting benefits when it comes to the advancement of a variety of coronary ailments and diseases.
This just may be the HOLY grail of interest into this mysterious and seemingly magical anti-oxidant. Why? Because it appears like transresveratrol emulates the effects of caloric restriction on the human body. It effectively “tricks” the body into thinking it’s getting FAR less calories than it really is…which in effect has a preserving and longevity triggering mechanism that seems to reverse some of the signs of aging on a genetic level. Caloric restriction, for those of you who are unfamiliar, is the ONLY widely accepted age reversing technology that has been proven to work……and has been effective in just about every population ever studied. (from animals to humans alike)
The Bottom Line?
While no one knows the FULL benefits and ramifications of Resveratrol research and study, it DOES appear like the benefits are real, are tangible and are available to anyone who aggressively pursues a diet rich in this (and other) amazing natural anti-oxidants and compounds! (people like myself…and you too, I’m guessing if you’ve read this far>:-)

Maureen F. Madison asked:
Research shows that resveratrol is a very promising anti-ageing therapy. Since it is found naturally in red wine, it’s certainly a delight to implement.
Resveratrol is an antioxidant produced by different plants and herbs as a natural defense against various diseases. The compound is found in a variety of plants, but is most abundant in the seeds and skin of red grapes. Medical science has found this compound to be a strong dietary agent with many positive effects on human health.
The chemical agent is found to have antioxidant properties that make it a useful tool against aging. Anti-oxidants are substances that neutralize the harmful effects of the free radicals that are produced during oxidation. Free radicals are known to account for most age-related complications.
Anti-oxidant that improves heart health
Studies indicate that the antioxidant properties of the compound can be especially beneficial for the human heart. Just like COQ10 and vitamin E, this compound is effective in blocking free radicals that damage the arteries. When used with a combination of other supplements, it has proven to be helpful in treating arteriosclerosis, a condition in which the arteries thicken in part due to free radical damage.
Anti-inflammatory Properties
Inflammation is the natural response of the body to brain or spinal cord trauma. In most cases, this inflammation causes even further damage to the body. Chinese researchers have found that the inflammation can be controlled by administering the compound immediately after injury.
Effective Cancer Treatment
Ground breaking research in the mid 90s found that the chemical compound could effectively prevent development of cancer in species that were administered with this compound. Several animal studies followed and similar outcomes led to one of the most encouraging possibilities for prevention and treatment of cancer.
Austrian studies further indicated that the compound can prevent certain kinds of cancer from developing in other parts of the body. Other research also confirmed that the use of the compound could prevent the spread of tumor in areas where it was administered. Oral administration was found to be useful in treating stomach and intestinal tumors. All research has been performed on animal studies so far, and some important research studies are underway to test the efficacy of this compound in humans.
Possibilities of Treating Alzheimer’s disease
Another exciting anti-aging possibility is the treatment or prevention of Alzheimer’s disease, another disease that is found linked to free radical damage.
A study carried out in Cornell University reported that the supplement reduced plaque formation in the brain. Plaque is a key component of Alzheimer’s disease and is also known to be closely tied to the normal aging changes of the human brain.
Is this the Fountain of Youth we were looking for?
A number of studies carried out since 2003 have proven the compound successful in extending the lifespan of different life forms such as worms, short-living fish, fruit flies and yeast. It is believed to prolong life by activating a longevity gene known as sirtuin. Though life extension hasn’t been proven on humans yet, the prospects are quite encouraging because a human form of longevity gene has already been found.Â

Marie-Elsie Ade asked:
You may have heard that red wine may lower your risk for cardiovascular problems. The French, it seems, with the same risk factors as Americans supposedly do not have the heart problems because they drink more red wine than anybody else in the world. Now should you go out and drink all the red wines that you can? Not exactly. There may be an easier way that you can incorporate this supplement into your daily health routine.
What is Resveratrol:
Resveratrol is found in grapevines (Vitis vinifera L). It occurs in the vines, roots, seeds and stalks, but its highest concentration is in grape skins. Wine also contains resveratrol. The concentration of resveratrol in red wine is much higher than that of white wine. The main difference between red and white wine production, besides the grapes used, is that for red wine the skins and seeds are involved in the process, while white wine is mainly prepared from the juice, thus avoiding the use of grape skins and seeds. During the wine making process, resveratrol, as well as other polyphenols, including quercetin, catechins, gallocatechins, procyanidins and prodelphidins (condensed tannins), are extracted from the grape skins via a process called maceration. The main mechanism of action of resveratrol is the activation of the Sir2 family of genes which controls lifespan and response of the body to diet.
What are the benefits of Resveratrol:
There have been some wild claims made about resveratrol; the claims ranged from anti-aging to preventing cancer and promoting weight loss. All these claims are being researched right now all over the world. In the past 24 months there have been more than 450 studies submitted to the National Library of Medicine. The November 1, 2006 article in Newsweek brought greater attention to the benefits of Resveratrol. In his study, Dr. David Sinclair, a researcher from Harvard Medical School found that when he gave Resveratrol to laboratory mice that were fed a high fat diet that although the mice still got fat, but they did not have any of the complications associated with obesity; their death rate was cut by 31 percent and more amazingly their hearts were normal.
It appears that Resveratrol is a potent antioxidant that can be used to prevent a slew of diseases such as cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease among others.
Should you take this supplement?
Most of the studies involving resveratrol has been performed in mice and not in humans. Several studies are underway to prove that the same benefits can be seen in humans. It is more likely that they will find the same benefits in humans. So far there has not been any side effects associated with the use of resveratrol. However, one might be cautious if on blood thinning products because it may increase risk of bleeding; so be sure to check with a physician or pharmacist before starting resveratrol. I will be sure to let you know of the developments involving this supplement. Stay tune or shall I raise a glass to your health.

Mila Sabido asked:
The benefits of resveratrol, found primarily in red wine, are still being investigated, even though thousands of laboratory studies have been completed.
Resveratrol pills are now available as a health supplement and the compound is included in a few of the better daily multi nutrient formulas. As with most natural supplements, opinions about resveratrol vary, but so far, no negative side effects have been found.
First identified in 1963 as the effective ingredient in the Asian Folk medicine called ko-jo-kon in Japanese or polygonum capsidatum in Latin, resveratrol was later found in grapevines and finally, in 1992, in red wine.
It is because of the believed benefits of resveratrol that many practitioners suggest drinking red wine (just a 4 oz. glass) with dinner. Resveratrol pills or supplements containing the compound are an option for non drinkers.
Although opinions about resveratrol benefits to human health vary, scientists know that the compound has antibiotic capabilities, protects plants from disease, fungus and viral infections. Like many plant compounds, it is an antioxidant, meaning that it protects the plants from the damaging affects of oxidative stress.
The reason that opinions about resveratrol and other antioxidants vary is that research results differ. Many researchers are not sure if plant antioxidants provide the same protection to humans that they do to the plants.
This opinion is becoming increasingly less popular, as research studies conclude again and again that those people who follow a diet rich in a variety of multi colored fruits and vegetables have less heart disease, cancer and other chronic diseases.
Antioxidants are the compounds that give fruits and vegetables their vibrant colors, each performing a specific purpose in the life of the plant.
There are many antioxidants found in nature; resveratrol is but one. In order to ensure long term good health and receive the most protection from life threatening and chronic diseases, numerous antioxidants should be included in your daily supplement routine. In other words, resveratrol pills by themselves are not enough.
Many positive opinions about resveratrol have been reported in major publications. There have been positive reports in the Oxford Journal and the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. These reports indicate that the benefits of resveratrol to modern medicine and human health are multi-faceted.
Besides being an antioxidant, resveratrol is an anti-mutagen and a strong anti-inflammatory. An anti-mutagen is a compound that inhibits the mutation of healthy normal cells into cancerous growths and tumors. You are probably familiar with the term anti-inflammatory. Many common over the counter pain relievers are anti-inflammatory medications, but there are many natural anti-inflammatories.
Chronic inflammation is believed to be at the root of many diseases, including heart disease and cancer. Synthetic anti-inflammatories cannot be taken on a regular basis to prevent chronic inflammation without risking other health problems. Natural anti-inflammatories, on the other hand, are found primarily in plant foods and can be consumed on a regular basis throughout a person’s life with no side effects.
Since it is one of the natural anti-inflammatories, it is believed that the benefits of resveratrol include the prevention of heart disease, cancer and other diseases associated with chronic inflammation. These are the benefits that resveratrol pills may also provide.
Other benefits of resveratrol are being studied. It may have an anti-aging effect on cells and is being studied for its effects on Alzheimer’s. Benefits of resveratrol in cancer prevention, suppression and treatment are being studied.
A recent report in the Journal of Infectious Diseases states that resveratrol decreased the reproduction of the influenza virus in cell lines and rats, in other words it may be useful in preventing or treating the flu.
Although opinions about resveratrol may vary, there is no evidence that large amounts of resveratrol are harmful in any way. Large doses showed no adverse effects in rats tested.
In conclusion, the benefits of resveratrol to all systems of the human body have been or are currently being studied. Resveratrol pills may not be a miracle drug, but since most people take a daily multi-vitamin, choosing one of the better supplements that contains this compound is most likely a wise health decision.

Lee M Chan asked:
Resveratrol is often stated in many social circles as a wonder drug. Many pharmaceutical companies are churning out supplements that are derived from the same alkaloid. The positive advantages that can be realized by consuming Resveratrol in minute quantities is advocated in many websites that are hosted and promoted by these pharmaceutical companies. Do you have any answer for the query that has been posted as the title of this brief article? Read on and you will realize the intricacies associated with this paradigm. Here is a quick summary of what you will be seeing in the following sections – please do not fall for the words of crafty advertisers.
When I started realizing that this alkaloid is gaining due attention, I started researching deeper into the niche. It seems that the product is often associated with something known as the French paradox. This paradox is a simple, straightforward one. The French is noted to consume heavy portions of high caloric foods. However, they surpass the rest of the population when it comes to longevity. Researchers started concentrating into their dietary paradigms, and ultimately they could explain the reasons for the so-called French paradox.
It was noted that the French often took large portions of red wine along with their daily diet. Resveratrol is an alkaloid that is present in immense quantities on the same product i.e. the red wine. Is red wine the only product that is bestowed with Resveratrol? No, it turns out that the same alkaloid is generated in many plants asa consequence of pathogenic attacks. Plants have their own manner of defending themselves from pathogenic attacks and secreting Resveratrol is one among them. Since the wine is derived from grapes, it can be concluded that eating wholesome portions of red grapes will suffice your daily dietary requirement of this alkaloid.
The above-mentioned companies cannot deny some factors. There is no scientific evidence to prove the positive effects of this alkaloid. Almost all the theories published in favor of this product is based on the test results that were conducted on animals. Why are the companies shunning away from testing the alkaloid on humans? This is because the effects are hardly noticeable. The way the same product is absorbed and assimilated within the body is still unknown to most of the researchers. Finally, the effects of the same alkaloid on liver are also a highly inflammable niche.
In fact, some of the recent research is pointing in some other direction. For example, countless test subjects experienced symptoms associated with breast cancer. The tests had to be concluded hastily because of such after effects. The final aspect which iwould like to point out is something that is occurring (even right now) in man parts of the country. Wine, specifically red wine is highly beneficial to the body only when taken in minute quantities. When people read that the same wine has many miracle compounds, they resort to overconsumption of red wine. This will lead to further problems.

Janet Elizabeth Pierce asked:
Have you ever heard of the resveratrol supplement? Well, if you have overheard the resveratrol supplement, do you know what it really means? Have you also wondered how resveratrol can help you remain fit and healthy? In order to know the answers to these questions, simply read through this informative article which would discuss the true meaning of this miraculous health product:
1. It Is A Natural Health Product
Resveratrol is a health product and it is made from the skins of red grapes. It is also made from the Japanese knotweed plant. As it is free from any harmful chemicals and made entirely from fruits and herbs, the product is harmless and suitable for human consumption. As no harmful chemicals are used in its production, the product is safe and completely free from any known adverse side effect.
2. It Is An Anti-Aging Miracle
The supplement is also known as an anti-aging miracle. The reason why it is termed as an anti-aging miracle is because the product contains rare and powerful antioxidants which have the ability to flush out toxic waste matter from within the human blood stream. Hence, it also acts as a natural detoxifying agent. Once your body is free from harmful toxins, you are able to lead a disease free life for ever. When your body is free from unwanted infections, you tend to enjoy a healthy and a long life.
3. It Cures Chronic Ailments
This anti aging supplement is also known for its healing properties. As the supplement is made from herbs, it is easily absorbed by the human body. Once it is absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract, the resveratrol supplement releases healthy enzymes into the human body. These enzymes have healing properties and they help you steer clear of chronic diseases. Some of these diseases include cancer, heart attacks and even diabetes.
Resveratrol is also known as the best anti aging supplement in the world. If you have never used this miraculous product before, I suggest you should give it a try. If you want to retain your youth by reversing the natural process of aging, there is no better way of achieving your goals than by consuming a regular dose of this natural supplement which is made from the Japanese knotweed plant.

Ron J Myers asked:
Many people believe that resveratrol is a super anti-oxidant, ever since it became the likely explanation for the “French Paradox” back in the early 1990s. The “French Paradox” is the term used for the observation that the French have very low rates of heart disease, despite the fact that the typical diet of the average Frenchman is very high in fat. For the French, the most common source of resveratrol is red wine. Red wine contains relatively high amounts of resveratrol because of the grapes that are used to make red wine. Resveratrol is found in the skins of grapes, among other plant sources.
Resveratrol is a type of phytoalexin. A phytoalexin is an antimicrobial substance made by plants as a defense mechanism against invading bacteria and fungus. Other than grapes, there are several other species of plants that produce resveratrol. Other sources of resveratrol include peanuts, blueberries, cranberries, and Japanese knotweed.
To date, preliminary research has shown that reseveratrol is effective in fighting a whole range of age related diseases, which is why it has gained a reputation as a super anti-oxidant. Resveratrol is thought to improve heart health because scientist believe that resveratrol scavenges free radicals that oxidize LDL cholesterol (“the bad kind of cholesterol”). In addition, resveratrol is though to be a potent defense against other age related diseases, such as diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease.
Also, much of the preliminary research has shown that resveratrol may be effective in promoting weight loss. According to the research, resveratrol causes the release of sirtuins. Sirtuins are a type of protein that help to metabolize fat.
Another reason why many people think that resveratrol is a super anti-oxidant is because there is some research that shows that resveratrol tends to prolong life. Many scientist think the resveratrol causes an effect similar to a calorie restricted diet. Scientist have known for a long time that calorie restricted diets tend to prolong life.
In sum, preliminary research does suggest that resveratrol is truly a super anti-oxidant.

Tina Bardo asked:
Should I buy Resveratrol online, or should I shop for it in the store? How about the pharmaceutical companies? Natural health stores or supermarkets? Where is the best place to buy Resveratrol without being scammed, duped or downright disappointed? Any of these questions sound familiar?
If they do… you are NOT alone! Learning how to buy health and wellness supplements these days is NOT as easy as it once was… with many people finding themselves confused (and frustrated) at the wide variety of promotions, products and promises advertised everywhere online! Sound like you? If so… we’ve written this article with YOU in mind! Continue reading on below as we take a closer look.
Filed Under: The Benefits of Buying Resveratrol Online
Honestly? Cost. And quality. And the abundance of attractive offers. The simple truth is that many supplement companies are HYPER competitive by necessity, and frequent “undercutting” price point wise is a very common occurrence online. And because so MUCH of the health and alternative wellness product sales are now done via Internet based distribution channels, much of the better quality and grade supplements can ONLY be found on the web sites, and marketing partners of the BEST rated Resveratrol products. The truth? In my experience, it’s difficult to find the same quality Resveratrol products in health food stores and supermarkets, that you WILL find easily online.
Filed Under: Free Trials CAN Be a Big Benefit (or a curse!)
We DO recommend purchasing free trials of Resveratrol as a great way of “testing” a product you’d like to take at no charge. But you have to be careful, and make sure to understand the terms of the order. Always make sure there is a phone number, email address and contact information available whenever you take advantage of a free trial supplement offer. (as you want to make sure they are easy accessible should you have a problem)
Filed Under: The CON’S of Ordering Online Resveratrol
The truth? The HYPE is horrible! Some marketers are way too aggressive… and this can be a terrible turnoff as well. You often have to “sift” through so much “sales” material to make a purchase, that you feel like you’re walking through a used car lot as well! And sometimes the competition can be CONFUSING… and it’s actually easier just to have one particular product to pick!
The bottom line?
Overall, purchasing Resveratrol online is a win, win proposition for all. But keep the “cons” above in mind as well… and try to simplify the “sales” process when picking a product that feels right for you! (you’ll be happy you did… I promise!)

Janet Elizabeth Pierce asked:
Resveratrol is actually a component used by the plants as a defense mechanism to fight against the damaging effects of dust, pollution, pathogens, sun etc. and when included in the human diet, the benefits of resveratrol show up on the health front too. Among the various health benefits of resveratrol consumption on offer, the anti-aging and longevity increasing ones are the most noteworthy. Nonetheless, the component entails a long list of positives and here are some of the best benefits of resveratrol revealed for you:
1. It Bolsters Immunity
One of the best benefits of resveratrol is the compound’s immunity boosting potential. Extraordinary levels of antioxidants present in the compound shoot up immunity levels in humans and provide protection from several deadly diseases like leukemia, renal failure, liver diseases, lung, breast, prostrate and colon cancers etc. The food also reduces the chances of contracting Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and arthritis.
2. It Reverses Aging And Increases Longevity
The most popular benefit of resveratrol is its anti-aging potential. The food is known to strengthen the enzymes called sirtuins which are responsible for warding off degenerative diseases but generally wade off with advancing age. Incidentally, these enzymes also help in cell regeneration and therefore are a great aid in fighting the oxidation stress of free radicals and countering aging. Lab experiments have accordingly shown regular resveratrol consumption to almost double the individual life spans of mice and fish and reduced the instances of premature deaths in them.
3. It Evens Skin Tone And Complexion
This grape polyphenol’s antioxidant levels are so high that it provides the skin with a radiant glow. It is a successful anti-wrinkle and scar removal remedy and is widely favored to treat skin problems like scars, pigmentation, acne, discoloration, blemishes and wrinkles in humans.
4. It Exhibits Anti-diabetic Properties Too
Resveratrol is also known to normalize the levels of blood glucose, plasma insulin, and glycosylated hemoglobin in the system and keep diabetes under check. It is particularly good for the heart health and keeps cholesterol levels under control. This is further substantiated by the establishment of the French paradox. After all, resveratrol is a main component of red wine and thus has every right to be credited for lower incidence of heart risks in the wine-drinking Mediterranean population.
The benefits of resveratrol do not end here. You would probably need a lot more time to be acquainted with all of them for I must say that that list is an exhaustive one. Nonetheless you could always spare some time for your health and get a complete viral report of this wonderful component through the various internet sources dedicated to the same.

Is it really the fountain of youth….a magic elixir that CAN reverse aging, turn back the clock and leave you happier, healthier and more fabulously fit than you’ve been in years? Or is the whole thing just a dubious and downright disappointment of an offer that promises to NOT live up to the hype? Any of these questions sound familiar? If they do….you are NOT alone!
Myth, hype and marketing misinformation about Resveratrol has plagued it’s promise since it’s introduction into the health and alternative wellness community, and it hasn’t gotten any better since. But if you’re confused…..we’ve written this article with YOU in mind! Curious to know more? Great….continue reading as we take a closer look below!
Filed Under: Resveratrol is NOT Just Empty Hype
The facts? Resveratrol HAS been shown to:
Effectively reverse the signs of aging in mice and a whole host of other animal subjects ( Stop weight gain and reverse obesity in animal studies Stop cancer cells from developing in human cells in a test tube environment (in breast, prostate and other similar tests) Reverse and stop signs of cardiovascular disease in human heart tissue And of course, MUCH anecdotal evidence supports that it helps people LOOK younger, keep weight off, provide an emotional wellness lift and simply live a happier and more exuberant life as a result. And YES, much of this may be a placebo effect….but many scientists truly believe that Resveratrol may prove to be the biggest discovery in anti aging and wellness in the past half a century. (and many leading scientific luminaries are on record saying as much)
Filed Under: Believe…..but be WARY of How MUCH You Believe!
The truth? Some of the claims being made by Resveratrol proponents may be exaggerated as well. While Resveratrol has been shown to have positive effects on SOME cancer cells, it certainly does NOT cure cancer (as has been promised in some online ads) It’s not going to make you look 20 years YOUNGER overnight. (although it may help you look more youthful fairly fast) And at the levels that it’s available at a nutracutical level (like those found online) it’s effects may not be as dramatic as some of the results seen in studies done at higher concentrations.
The bottom line?
I truly believe that Resveratrol is a healthy and helpful addition to ANYONE’S diet who cares about their body, their future and their longevity. But much of the magic, remains a mystery! It may take another decade before we truly understand the upside potential this wonder anti-oxidant has in store for us…and until then, only you can decide if it’s a worthwhile investment! (for me…I say it IS..:-)

Alexa Martin asked:
The desire to remain young and energetic has led to the discovery of Resveratrol which is touted as the most potent anti aging health supplement on the market today. This is a compound extracted from Japanese knotweed and a few other plants. What really makes this compound so popular is its ability to reverse the aging process make you wrinkle free very fast.
As mentioned above we want to remain young and glamorous throughout our life, we often take the help of cosmetic creams to hide the aging signs that become visible after we cross our thirties. Hectic lifestyle coupled with bad eating habits like smoking, alcoholism and junk food make us look older than we actually are. Cosmetic creams are okay for instant effects but they do nothing to lift up your sagging skin therefore you need to apply them every time you step out of your house.
What if you got a formula that can make you wrinkle free and make you look 10 years younger than you actually are? Yes; this is exactly what Resveratrol does. It works wonder to boost up collagen formation which gives you fuller skin. This is just one of the many benefits of Resveratrol. In fact, as you continue using this supplement, you start feeling younger from inside as well.
The rich anti oxidant content of this wonder compound replenish the free radical loss very quickly therefore in a way it reverses the aging process to a great extent. Not only do the wrinkles disappear in a few weeks but also it makes your skin glow by improving your overall blood circulation. Resveratrol supplement must be used in combination of an external cream for faster anti aging effects.

Tina Bardo asked:
What is the very best way to take Resveratrol? Is it best in wine or liquid? How about pills? And what about Resveratrol creams and topical solutions? Is any one approach better than others? In this article we are going to take a quick look at some of the various ways that Resveratrol has been tested, and see which one we prefer (and recommend) to those of you who enjoy our articles!
Resveratrol Benefits in the Lab
Much has been made of the different “absorbency” rates of Resveratrol products, most specifically the difference between pills, liquids and topical (applied to the skin) solutions. The simple truth is that NO ONE really knows for sure which approach will be best, and in the end, in our view….it matters far LESS than how YOU feel while trying a particular supplement or solution.
An Illustrative Example
Mice, in a lab setting, who were treated with a topical carcinogen, did NOT develop skin cancer after being also treated with a topical Resveratrol solution. Pretty amazing, right? Similarly, in oral Resveratrol trials, tumors of all types and stripes were NOT growing after high doses of rez was administered. (this includes cancer of the esophagus, breast, colon and otherwise. Only lung cancers in this particular test weren’t stopped)
And while different product manufactures seem to argue that their particular “delivery” mechanism of Resveratrol is “best”, most of the researchers and serious scientists who are studying it, seem to believe that the ONLY important thing is that authentic Resveratrol is used.
The Net Effect?
With each passing month, more and more serious scientific study seems to validate that Resveratrol may in fact not ONLY be the “fountain of youth” for appearance conscious baby boomers, it may ALSO be amongst the best developments in our fight against serious disease like cancer, cardiovascular disease, obesity and much more!

Johnson John asked:
For the past few years, the popular molecule Resveratrol has been under intense scientific study in the scientific and medical communities and has shown miraculous results among test subjects from slowing down the growth of tumors to improving heart health and more. But there are some side effects of Resveratrol that the user should be aware of before beginning any regimen that includes Resveratrol either in supplement or other forms.
Not Enough Evidence About the Safety of Resveratrol Resveratrol is found in the natural world in peanuts, Japanese knotweed, blueberries, cranberries, pomegranates, and of course, in grapes (and subsequently, red wine made from grapes). Anyone with much knowledge of the effects of alcohol on the body will know that if you drink too much red wine, you’ll get sick; this is, however, not due to the Resveratrol properties of the drink. In fact, drinking red wine, although it does contain an abundance of Resveratrol, will not give you the effects of Resveratrol (unless you are drinking several full bottles of red wine daily – and if so, you have far worse problems than anything that Resveratrol could correct).
Because no one can tolerate that amount of red wine each day, supplements have been created that have varying strengths (and won’t cause you to become intoxicated). The long term use of Resveratrol supplements on the human body cannot be touted as safe, however; the scientific community does not have enough information to make that declaration. Let’s have a look at who should not take Resveratrol:
Because Resveratrol is associated with mild estrogenic activity that is not completely understood in the human population, women with estrogen sensitive condition, including some cancers should consult with her health care practitioner prior to taking Resveratrol supplements.
Children should not take Resveratrol. Women who are pregnant, nursing mothers or those women who are trying to get pregnant should not take Resveratrol. Resveratrol acts as a blood thinning agent, which negates its use among those people who are taking medication that thins the blood. Anyone taking prescription medication of any kind should consult their doctor prior to taking Resveratrol.
Side Effects of Resveratrol Although there are no completed Federal Drug Administration (FDA) trials on Resveratrol to render any accurate scientific evidence regarding the side effects of Resveratrol, so-called anecdotal side effects from users are generally reported as:
Dizziness often referred to as a “buzzed” feeling like a caffeine rush. Insomnia that seems to appear out of nowhere and last for various periods of time. Many Resveratrol users say that the insomnia symptoms fade after a few weeks. Increases in blood pressure, sometimes dipping into the “high” range. Intestinal side effects like stomach cramping and diarrhea; this may be due to the emodin content in certain Resveratrol supplements.
When choosing a Resveratrol supplement, it is always wise to choose a supplement made by a reputable manufacturer. As with any type of nutritional supplement, there are always some scandalous manufacturers out there who don’t use potent Resveratrol in their supplements – so going with a well-known or well-recommended supplement will maximize the benefits of Resveratrol.

Alexa Martin asked:
Resveratrol is a phytoalexin produced by plants when they are under attack by bacteria and fungi. Phytoalxins work as toxins for bacteria and other pathogens which attack plants. Resveratrol is known to disrupt the metabolism of harmful bacteria which result in preventing the reproduction of harmful fungi.
Somewhat similar effects of Resveratrol have been observed on mice, worms and fish as well. It worked remarkably well as an anti inflammatory, anti cancerous and blood sugar lowering agent.Scientists are of the view that Resveratrol works the same way on humans as well. Though experiment on this compound’s effect on different disorders is still underway, users of Resveratrol supplements have already started gaining the health benefits of it.
Resveratrol is capable of fighting off different viruses. It can fight viruses of common cold to polio and even swine flu. These harmful viruses keep multiplying and replicating themselves which result in various ailments. However, they find it impossible to reproduce when Resveratrol is around. We can safely say that contrary to common belief Resveratrol is not just an anti aging and weight loss product but also a wonderful compound to strengthen our immune system.
This wonder compound has become an instant hit with the beauty conscious population who go for expensive surgeries and other treatments to get a wrinkle free skin. Surgical processes, Botox and many other treatments give you instant results but they hardly go to the root of aging process.
Resveratrol on the other hand works at cellular level and promotes production of collagen which keeps your skin youthful. Unlike cosmetic procedures, this works as a natural anti aging formula therefore you need not worry about any side effects either.

Mark Juliano asked:
The key to understanding the affects of Resveratrol on sex drive, and other sexually related issues, lies in the understanding of the sex hormones estrogen and testosterone. While testosterone hormones are associated with men, and estrogen with women, both men and women have levels of testosterone and estrogen in their bodies, albeit in different quantities.
Sex hormones are involved in sexual drive (or libido), and maintenance and repair of reproductive tissues. They are also involved in body growth, body tissue, body mass, and bone mass.
Men
Testosterone in men is highest in their teenage years, and gradually decreases over time. What is not generally understood, is that an increase in estrogen can also occur over a man’s lifetime, which further contributes to a decrease in testosterone. This phase in a man’s life is sometimes referred to as “male menopause.”
Decreased levels of testosterone, and increased levels of estrogen, can lead to numerous problems including reduced muscle mass, decreased strength, increased body fat storage, fatigue, erectile dysfunction and, of course, reduced sex drive. These hormonal changes have also been linked to prostate cancer and heart disease.
Decreasing estrogen levels can lead directly to an increase in testosterone levels. Here’s where Resveratrol enters the picture. Resveratrol has been scientifically shown to act as an anti-estrogen (antagonist) lowering estrogen levels in men, and may even block excess testosterone from turning into estrogen. The result – improved muscle, mass, strength, less body fat, and of course an increase in sex drive.
Women
Estrogen is an entire class of hormones including estriol, estradiol and estrone. Estriol is primarily needed during pregnancy. Estradiol affects female characteristics, and gynecologic issues. Estrone is widespread through the body, and is generally the only estrogen hormone present after women reach menopause.
During menopause – which begins at an average age of 50 years old -women’s levels of estrogren decrease, and these levels are associated with a variety of overall health issues. Women can experience symptoms including depression, dryness of vaginal lining, “hot flashes”, and decreased sex drive.
In women, a substantial amount of research has shown that estrogen metabolism is strongly associated with hormone-related cancers such as breast cancer. Estrogen, via its binding to the estrogen receptor, plays an important role in breast cancer cell proliferation and tumor development.
Resveratrol and Menopause
Taking resveratrol has many beneficial effects for menopausal women, as it helps in alleviating menopausal symptoms and prevents some degenerative diseases. In one clinical trial, postmenopausal women received trans-resveratrol for six months experienced increased bone mineral content and bone density.
Other studies with resveratrol indicate that Resveratrol inhibits the activity of aromatase. This enzyme is found in high concentration in malignant breast tumors. In fact, Resveratrol inhibits the conversion of estrogen and decreases the synthesis of the aromatase enzyme, thus indicating that it may support the health of individuals concerned about breast cancer.
Conclusion
Balancing estrogen and testosterone levels is essential for optimizing overall health in both women and men, and Resveratrol has been proven to have positive effects on women and men.

Elmis Stroms asked:
They’re everywhere: you see them on TV, learn about them in magazines, and read them on labels of food or food supplements. The word ‘antioxidant’ has been placed in nearly every new food product since the early 00s. Most of us just buy the stuff thinking, “Hey this must be healthy” without knowing the effects and how it helps the body. But what is it? Where does it come from? And most importantly, what does it do?
As these concerns rise, more and more companies are investing on products which can delay aging, make one look healthier and can produce antioxidants. Resveratrol, an antioxidant compound found in grapes, is not a newbie in this market.
The word antioxidant originally referred to a compound that prevented the consumption of oxygen. Prior to its use medically, the term was used industrially. There were extensive studies of antioxidants to prevent metal corrosion, the vulcanization of rubber and the fouling of internal combustion engines. Research in biology turned focus to their use in preventing oxidation in unsaturated fats which causes rancidity. The identification of vitamins A, C and E as antioxidants revolutionized the field and led to the idea that antioxidants are important in the biochemistry of living organisms.
There is a paradox in biology, particularly with the metabolism of almost all complex life on Earth. Almost all animals require oxygen to exist and survive. Oxygen on the other hand is a highly reactive molecule that harms healthy cells by the production of reactive oxygen species. In consequence, organisms evolved to have a complex system of antioxidant metabolites and enzymes that work together to prevent damage to cellular components such as DNA, lipids and proteins. Antioxidant systems in animals do not eliminate oxidants entirely. Rather, they keep oxidants in the body at an optimum and safe level.
Antioxidants are molecules that slow or prevent the oxidation of other molecules. Oxidation is a chemical reaction that transfers electrons to an oxidizing agent. These reactions produce free radicals which start chain reactions and destroy healthy cells. Low levels of antioxidants in the body or the inhibited production of antioxidant enzymes cause oxidative stress which may damage or kill healthy cells. Oxidative stress also indirectly causes cardiovascular disease. Low density lipoprotein (LDL) triggers the process of atherogenesis which results in atherosclerosis and finally cardiovascular disease.
The brain is the most vulnerable to oxidative stress injury. This is because of its high metabolic rate and massive concentration of polyunsaturated lipids which are targets for lipid peroxidation. Antioxidants are often used as medication to treat some forms of brain injury such as traumatic brain injury and stroke. Antioxidants prevent oxidative stress in neurons and prevent neurological damage. Studies are being made to see if antioxidants are possible treatments for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Scientists speculate that because resveratrol has highly hydrophilic and lipophilic properties, it can provide more protection than other well known antioxidants such as vitamins C and E. Hydrophilic antioxidants react with oxidants in the cell cytosol and the blood plasma. Lipid soluble antioxidants protect cell membranes from lipid peroxidation*.
“Lipid peroxidation refers to the oxidative degradation of lipids. It is the process whereby free radicals “steal” electrons from the lipids in cell membranes, resulting in cell damage. This process proceeds by a free radical chain reaction mechanism. It most often affects polyunsaturated fatty acids, because they contain multiple double bonds in between which lie methylene -CH2- groups that possess especially reactive hydrogens. As with any radical reaction the reaction consists of three major steps: initiation, propagation and termination” – Wikipedia
Antioxidants are commonly found in fruits and vegetables. Polyphenolic antioxidants are found in tea, coffee, soy, nuts, fruit, olive oil, chocolate, cinnamon, oregano, and red wine. If you notice, most of the foods containing polyphenolic antioxidants are common in the French diet such as nuts, chocolate and red wine. One particular polyphenolic antioxidant is resveratrol which is commonly found in red wine and peanuts.
Being an antioxidant, resveratrol can cancel out the cell-damaging effects of free radicals. People who consume foods with resveratrol have a lowered risk of heart disease and neurological disease. There is some evidence that resveratrol, being an antioxidant, can prevent macular degeneration, suppressed immunity due to poor nutrition, and neurodegeneration. The French consume red wine every meal. The more formal meal courses actually have a different glass of wine for every course! And by tradition, red meat and fatty foods are paired with; you guessed it, red wine.
Other sources of resveratrol include grapes, peanuts, eucalyptus and mulberries. The amount of resveratrol present in wines depends on how long the skins of the wines were in the fermentation process before being sieved out. Resveratrol functions as a natural guard against bacteria, fungus and infections in plants. Since fungus cultivates at lower temperatures, grapes grown in colder places tend to have more resveratrol in the skin than those grown at warmer climates.
Aside from diet related ailments, cells become damaged even while exercising. During intense physical activity, the body consumes ten times more oxygen than at rest. This results in an increased production of oxidants which results in damage that causes muscle fatigue during and after exercise. Post-exercise oxidative stress also triggers an immune system response and brings about the inflammatory process. After cellular damage in the muscle fibers have been repaired or replaced by new tissue, the body becomes stronger. Resveratrol speeds up this healing process by increasing the body’s metabolic rate.
Resveratrol, as discussed in the earlier paragraphs, has antioxidant qualities. It protects life against apoptotic stimuli (a DNA-damaging agent) and ischemic damage (tissue damage due to lack of oxygen and nutrients). In the face of oxidative stress, Resveratrol combats other forms of aging such as progeria or rapid aging in children, vascular oxidative stress, asthma, endothelial dysfunction and transplant rejection. It even protects plants against UV radiation! Now imagine how much more Resveratrol can do to humans!
The component in Resveratrol that gives it its antioxidant qualities is polyohenol. Unstable molecules called free radicals cause oxidative damage to our tissues and as well as our cells by destroying their integral parts (DNA, membranes and proteins). When these cells are attacked, the organs which host these cells can also malfunction and health complications will eventually ensue. Polyohenol counter the free radicals’ attacks even in the face of pollution, breathing, UV radiation and other things which can generate oxidative stress.
